"Midnight express right through the room"
I was staying in 1209. You hear the elevator 24/7, a wind noise that builds up, first I thought it was a strong gusty wind outside. If a hotel knows that some rooms are super noisy, don't rent them until problem is fixed!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"W hotel in Boston"
The hotel was outstanding with 1 important exception: Despite being in the 11th floor, the noise from the street could be heard. I recently stayed in Boston @ the W. It was probably one of the coolest rooms I have stayed in, it was very similar to a Hard Rock in feel. Excellent rooms and service. The hotel is conveniently placed in the centre of Boston. Only drawback and annoying is the extremely high sound level of the "background" music in foyer and restaurant - you can hardly hear the person at the reception or the waiter/waitress in the restaurant.
