Excellent hotel but a little far from tourist attractions. However, public transit is close and reliable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"good place to stay for conventions"
Like most Boston hotels, it is overpriced for what you get. In comparison to the Westin Copley Place, the amenities at the Renaissance were superior at a considerably lower price. However, they are fairly basic amenities for a mid-grade to higher end hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great place, convenient to the waterfront"
Another great stay at the Renaissance. Running 1/2 marathon the next morning started at 7:00, and being comfortable, and close, to the starting line was a win. Bar is very good, with knowledgeable and friendly servers.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Outstanding!"
We'd never stayed at this property before but was so satisfied with the quality of service and overall cleanliness of the room & public areas that we'd definitely stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was just beautiful. It is located in a very nice part of the city close to a few good places to go eat and drink. The staff was very nice, and extremely willing to help. When I plan my next trip to Boston I will not think twice before booking with the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to harbor sights and restaurants we wanted"
the room was spacious and clean with a lovely view of the harbor. Did not use bar or restaurant so can not speak to these amenities. Location was within walking distance of aquarium.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pittsburgh girls"
It was in the perfect place for the St Pattys Day parade. We used the concierge 3 to 4 time each of the three days that we were there and they were right on steering us to super fun things to do. We loved the Irish pubs!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Getaway weekend!"
My Fiance and I where looking to getaway for a weekend and enjoy another city. We went to Boston, who knew the city has become so beautiful. We had dinner at Del Fricos, which is a little pricey, but trust me you get what you pay for. The food is delicious! If you love seafood and steak, that is the place to go. We also took a walk and went to Quincy […] Market and enjoyed all of what it has to offer, Shops and nothing, pleanty of minnie shops of restaurants to choose from. Try something small from all of them. They have a navigator by the name of Winnie, who goes the extra mile to make sure you have a good time. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"High Quality, Not The Best Location"
I stayed here based on the recommendation of a few friends for a long weekend. It so happened to be during the weekend of the February 2013 snow storm that shutdown Boston. The hotel was prepared as all the amenities (including the Starbucks) remained open throughout the storm. The hotel itself is excellent, very well maintained with professional staff. […] The room was spacious and well appointed. The only downside is that the location is very close to downtown, though there is a Silver Line stop nearby. If you are going to be attending a function at the convention center then this is an excellent place to stay. Otherwise if you don't mind a bit of a walk to the key locations of Boston then you can't go wrong with the Renaissance. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very nice view, great staff"
We spent one night at this Renaissance hotel and, overall, were pleased. The room was on the 14th floor, at the end of the hallway and non-connecting (no door between rooms) with a nice wall-to-wall window overlooking the harbor, modern and well-maintained furniture and fixtures. Comfortable king bed and pillows, excellent -very quiet- central air […] conditioning system. Even though this room is advertised as having a "marble bathroom," its bathroom actually had a granite counter and tiled shower stall and floor. Pristine condition, snow white towels. Not a small room, but we've stayed at Renaissance hotels in other cities that had larger rooms. Maybe the fact that this one is in Boston has something to do with that. The only negative was that hallways did not smell fresh, the carpets needed vacuuming and the elevator doors and panels needed cleaning. This really surprised us because the public areas of all the other Renaissance locations we've stayed at have always been pristine. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great price for a very nice room."
The room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Upon check-in I think the employee was new as she couldn't answer some of my questions and had to ask another staff member. I didn't get to see much of the hotel other than my room and the lobby so I can't comment on anything else.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Don't hesitate to stay here"
This was my first vacation where I was traveling alone without ever meeting up with friends or family. It was pretty intimidating to try to find the best places to stay in the various cities. I took the recommendation of the cruise line and booked my nights in Boston here. I'm so glad I did. Don't be afraid to stay in the south shore area. There are […] restaurants galore, it is convenient to the downtown area via the many trolley tours and it is very convenient to the airport. I booked a two day pass through a trolley tour company that came down in this direction and enjoyed two days in "Beantown" prior to my cruise. The hotel itself is close to lots of restaurants, convention center, entertainment venues and a deli. Being close to the deli saved me some money. I shopped for my breakfast there. "Great location"
Enjoyed the hotel and the Seaport is a great location. Booked two rooms and requested 2 double beds in each room and one room had a king bed instead. I called ahead of time to make the request so was disappointed to find the request was not handled. The hotel is beautiful and well appointed. Room service was timely however, the desserts did not match […] the description on the menu! The pool area is also nice and you can't beat the location as you can walk to a variety of places. "Great Hotel, Convenient to Harbor & BOA Pavillion"
This hotel is right off the "T" Silver Line Way stop which makes it an excellent alternative to staying at the airport. It was 1 block from the harbor front which makes dining convenient. Also 1 block from the BOA Pavillion! 10 minute bus ride to Terminal E at Logan!!! It's not convenient to downtown so if that's what you're traveling to visit you […] may want to look at other options. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Boston. "Best weekend hotel for the money."
First I would say that I would stay here again on a weekend. They (most hotels in this area) really fleece the business person during the week. The hotel is new and the rooms are really comfortable. The hotel service couldn't be better and the location is perfect if you're going to the Fleet Boston Pavilon, Convention Center or a few local bars and […] restaurants.. My only gripe is that I asked for a view of either the city or harbor when I made the reservation. I asked again when I checked in and the person just noded. We'll I ended up getting a view of the backside. The third option I didn't want. Not happy with that! I stayed at the Westin next door a few weeks earlier and they gave me a room with an outstanding view of the city. This is a weekend mind you and they were not full. "Terrific for the Business Traveler"
I had a lovely stay. The hotel staff was cordial and very helpful and I felt comfortable in their knowledge. I was surprised at the high level of sophistication in the gym. Most hotels will throw in a few tread mills and elipticles, with a multipurpose weight machine. I was relieved to see the dumbbells plus the exercise benches.Genuine Expedia guest review

What a wonderful stay we had! One night there were 3 of us and the next night there were 4 as a friend was flying in to join us. The staff was accommodating for the change in reservations. We were extra pleased w/ the location and helpful staff upon arriving. The room was bright and inviting w/ a wonderful view of the city. Couldn't have been happier […] w/ our stay. We loved how easy it was to navigate from the hotel to sites we wanted to visit. Thanks for the wonderful experience. "Boston; family of 4; 4 days wasn't enough time."
great hotel; would go back in a flash. Rated "condition and upkeep" as a 4 because one bed sank in the middle; Wonderful decor, design, gym, lovely lap pool, little fridge perfect for our family of 4 who wanted a quick cheap healthy breakfast before we left for the day's sightseeing. Check out Legal Seafood one block away, also the Fish Pier was fun […] to explore and watch a fishing boat unload. We wanted to be closer to Freedom Trail, but saved on the hotel at this location and took the bus/subway all over Boston. Our 7 day train pass included ferry to the USS Constitution. Highlights: JFK Library, Giaccomo(?) restaurant in North End (yes, it's worth the wait!!), Freedom Trail, tour of State House,. Would do it all again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"I rate this hotel as lass than average."
The service fromn the concierge was efficient but often hurried. They didn't seem to want to hear all I had to say and what I needed from them. They wer ein a hurry to finish and get to the next person. Also, one day it was raining and I had appointments in another hotel nearby. I asked to borrow an umbrella, somehting I have done many times at other […] downtown hotels around the country. I was told I had to buy one fromt eh gift shop. It was $40! I told this sotry to my customer staying in another hotel. He told me there is an u7mbrella in his rom's closet for hi suse for free. "Nice view!"
The hotel was very nice. It was clean and service was always prompt. Room service was great. The restaurant, on the other hand, would beneft from better management. Long delays in service and there were empty tables while guests waited to be seated. There also weren't many other food options in the area on Sunday morning. It was like a ghost town […] outside.
