Besides the room being miniscule, an all night party down the hall that the front desk failed to address adequately made for a terrible stay. We will NOT return to this hotel. Also, the hotel is under renovation which would have been nice to know in advance.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very disappointed"

We ran into some small problems - no hand soap in the bathroom, minor toilet malfunction, awkward room layout - but we ran into the new owner's on-site manager, who along with the staff did their best to take care of things. "The Bulfinch in Boston-All within walking distance"
We were very happy with the surrounding area and all that we could walk to. You can watch a game at the Gardens then walk to the North End for dinner. "Bulfinch Hotel in Boston - great location"
We stayed at the Bulfinch for just one night before flying back to San Francisco and we wished we'd had a few more nights in Boston after visiting family. I am not a fan of chain hotels and always opt for the boutique-style hotels, The Bulfinch did not disappoint! The Bulfinch was great from the minute we arrived, with our 7-month old daughter. The […] staff were extremely friendly and helpful and since we had our baby we needed to eat locally and easily. We opted for the in-hotel restaurant and not only was it delicious but every single staff member there was fantastic and super friendly to us and our baby. At one point a member of the chef's team came out to say hello because she heard there was a cute baby in the restaurant! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Boston. The Bulfinch location was a short walking distance to the T and the North Station and not a bad walk to the wharf/harbor area. The front desk was helpful. The room was extremely small, but I was not surprised, as I had read that about the hotel from other reviewers. The only real compliant I would have is that our room was right next to the elevator. I guess sometimes you get the short straw. The location was perfect for the Celtics games - less than a 5 minute walk to the TD Garden. "Beware "secret" holds on credit card"
This hotel informed us when we checked in that they would be putting a hold on our credit card of $30.00 per day for "damage deposit" even though the room was prepaid. This amounted to $150.00 which they put on at check-in. "Rooms are small yet nice"
The room was definitely pretty small but it is in downtown Boston. The furnishings were newer and nice. The neighborhood isn't the nicest in Boston but the location is very convenient to many locations including North Station (several blocks away) and thereby any areas the subway goes to. It is located in the West End towards the northern area of the […] town. One downside was that when we stayed there, as it is close in proximity to the TD Garden, there were some concert guests who stayed in the hotel there. One night they ran through the hallway several times banging on doors. It was between 12:30 and 2 AM when they so nicely decided to engage in this activity. Coincidentally, the concert was a Lady Gaga concert. Guess you can't expect too much more from fans of hers. It was only the one night, so I guess the hotel probably wouldn't have been able to do anything about it had we said something (we didn't). And there's only 1 elevator so you wait a little to get a ride, as it serves all 8 or 9 floors. The only recommendation to make would maybe be to check to see who is playing at the TD Garden if you're looking to stay here to make sure its not Lady Gaga. "A convenient location and friendly service"
Although the room was somewhat on the small side the location of this hotel couldn't be better, 5 mins from the Union Oyster House and 10 mins walk from North End. Not a luxury break hotel, but a great place to base yourself for a few days exploring Boston. Et forholdsvis lite men intimt og veldig sentralt beliggende hotell sentralt i Boston. Små men helt ok rom. Den eneste nettforbindelsen som fungerte for meg var den kablete, som var litt knotete å komme seg inn på. Når du først fikk kontakt fungerte den meget bra.
