little gem of a hotel. They use "real" metal keys. Staff seemed very nice and accommodating.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Location for Business"
Harborside Inn is very convenient for business meetings throughout the day while also providing easy access for breakfast/dinner options. I have also liked using their partnership with a nearby fitness club to stay healthy on the road.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I liked everything except the lighting. The bedside lights were not easy to turn on and not nearly bright enough for me. I really hope you will change this.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to action"
Although this hotel is in a great location, it's not fabulous - no in-room coffee and if you have to get up early, the Starbucks in the lobby doesn't open at the posted times, so not possible to get a cup of coffee in Boston before 7am, on a Sunday, it seems. Rooms are small and dark, clean enough, but bathroom cleaning could be more thorough. There […] is a bar in the lobby and on Saturday nights turns in to a nightclub that is quite busy - causing the lobby to reek of booze. Nothing wrong with booze, but the smell was in the lobby, not just the bar. I was on business in a tourist area over a weekend, but this is a tourist hotel, not a business hotel. I saw that they had computers and a "business center", but the only people in it were playing video games. If I have another b-trip, I would consider this hotel again because the location is great. But preferably, I'd only stay there if I had my family with me and we were going to the aquarium. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall, very pleased. The room was quite dark, and had very little natural light. My only compliant.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Keeping the cost of Boston lodging down."
Boston hotels are expensive and Harborside Inn is less than most in the area. I have stayed before and find it more than adequate. It is not plush but for plush you would pay at least twice the price. Conveniently located for business and just around the corner from Faneuil Hall for touristy shopping and dining with easy access to the T (right out […] front). This place with its aquatic/nautical decore was great for us. We weren't sure if we were going to go to the Aquarium, walk the Freedom Trail or what. We ended up doing some of the FT, but took the handy subway to the Museum of Science. All of these things were within an easy walk. The hotel was pretty quiet for an intown location, they have a small […] Starbucks within the hotel so u don't have to suffer waiting in line at the one down the street. The inhouse restaurant/bar was very good also. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good location for business or tourism"
Nice boutique hotel at a reasonable price in a good location. What more can you ask for? If you're on business, you're within walking distance to lots of offices. If there as a tourist, you've got the water front, North End, and Faneuil Hall within very short walks. It's also close to many transit stops (blue line across the street, green line and orange […] line nearby.) The only downside, for me, was the lack of a fitness center. Though it's nice to go running near the water, if that's your pleasure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I loved the hotel, however, the windows were not soundproof so you heard everything going outside and some signage in hotel were out of date that led to some confusion ((vending downstairs, when actually the have taken all vending out of the hotel). Coffee in lobby (but you need to bring money)) I would still stay there again and not pay extra to have […] a window unit. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Big room with no view"
Our stay at the harbor side hotel was fine for one night. The room was spacious. However, the set up of the room was awkward. The television was not located in a convenient spot for all angles of the room. I did not like the fact that there was no windows except for a view of the hallway. It was quite depressing. Very dark.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No internet in rooms"
They advertise free wifi in room, but it didn't actually work. I called the IT help line and tried to triage, but no luck, didn't have internet in my room all week. They do have a business center in the lobby with several computers, free printer, etc.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This seems like a fabulous hotel, and if things had gone well I would have stayed there again. I still might. The rooms are very charming with exposed brick and a modern-industrial vibe. The hotel is small but clean and stylish. My main complaint is that the entire hotel lost air conditioning the night we were there. We woke at 2 in the morning because […] it was at least 100 degrees in our room. I had an interview the next day and not being able to sleep was extremely inconvenient. Plus, our room faced an alley, which is normally not a problem, but it appears the hotel failed to put sound-proofed windows in, so we heard every person, car, and trash truck that went by throughout the night. "great location for downtown Boston"
Great location for any visitor, but especially for the tourists. I had a one night stay for a business trip. I got in early and they let me check in at 1pm as they had a room open. Room was very spacious with comfortable king bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"great location for a one day Boston experience"
I only had one day to spend in Boston and wanted a location convenient to history, current city life, the water and the train station. Found it. With the North End just around the corner from the farmers market and across the street from the harbor, the hotel is right in the thick of it. As most of the nearby restaurants cater to the bar crowd, the […] food wasn't much. As for the property - a great reno to the building, excellent decor and a good bed. The bathroom is tight and the chairs are lacking. The staff was fantastic - an example for great customer service. I'd stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel for Business or Leisure"
Fantastic location right on the subway line. Walking distance to Faneuil Hall, Quincey Market, the Aquarium and probably lots of other places. I was here on business, but ended up wit some free time and was able to enjoy much of what Boston has to offer right outside my hotel door. Also, there was a very nice little business center with a printer that […] I was able to take advantage of. Finally, the room was nice, comfortable and met all my short-term needs. Highly recommend. "Nice boutique hotel"
Very helpful and friendly staff. Great room/bath. Free wifi-big chains should catch up! Parking convenient but pricey even with discount. Terrific location. Will definitely return but try to leave my car at home.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
boutique hotel right next door to old customs building and steps from harbor.converted old brick warehouse.rooms need updating. could clearly hear conversation from room next door through air vent. street outside very noisy ALL night long.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Harborside is perfectly located for the traveler and has some charming features in its architecture. However my room was casually cleaned with ragged towels and a quite dark interior. It can get better with more care.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location, Rooms Fair"
Rooms were small. Old furniture and bed covering. Not many amenities. Did have an outside-facing window, so previous comments were incorrect when they stated no rooms have windows to the outside. However, it was noisy.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great location - not very clean"
The location was perfect! But the ants crawling around in the bathroom left a little to be desired. Furthermore, the room key did not work very easily. I went upstairs with my luggage, couldn't open the door, and went back to the front desk to notify them. The front desk clerk had to walk up with me to show me the "trick" needed to enter the room. Along […] the way she mentioned that "I think this is one of the doors that are tricky." How many do they have and why don't they fix them? I had to "jiggle" the handle just right every time I wanted to enter my room. If they are not going to fix it, they should offer me another room with a door that works properly. The location is awesome and the price was better than many, but I think I'll try another hotel next time. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Hotel for Work and Play"
Very clean room, very nice staff. The computer area was well kept, and the people at the front desk were very helpful. We used the bag holding service on the day we checked out, and it was very convenient. Only downside was our request for a feather free room was not taken on initial checkin, though feather free pillows were eventually obtained from […] the housekeeping staff. "Great location. Just a bed to sleep in."
hi, I'd say it was just a bed to sleep in and a place to shower. I didn't really like staying in the room other than that. It just felt old but clean. Maybe it was my room. Would I stay there again...probably not if other hotels were available. The area is great but Langham hotel is a couple blocks away if location is most important.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The WORST Hotel I have ever been to."
I wonder how this hotel was given 3.5 stars. To me, even 1 star is too much. No heater or coffee machine in rooms. If you want to drink something, you need to go to lobby. They are very stingy, even serve very small cups. Nothing fancy about room. Typical 1-2 star room. It was extremely noisy from air con. The A/C in room does not have option for auto. […] It should either be always on or off. Hotel staff do not care you at all. They already ripped you off. In summary, this is a below average hotel. Does not worth any penny. "Good location, great rates"

"good location, bad everything else"
This hotel has a great location. Everything else is crummy. The internet didn't work at all while I was there, the hotel doesn't provide any personal amenities to travelers, and the rooms are very strange--poorly lit, odd floor plan (including a very awkward placement of the TV), and mine had a window that faced right onto the elevators. Even with the […] blinds shut, I was able to see people at the elevators, which I didn't like at all. I believe that one can pay more for a better room, but I would not stay here again. "Will stay again or recommend"
Conference hotel was sold out so this was a great option for the money, although a mile from conference. Most times getting cabs were no problem. Neighborhood was nice and felt comfortable walking at 10pm by myself. Disappointed that there is no on-site gym or dining but otherwise great room and comforts, with dining options within walking distance. […] Appreciated the exposed brick and decor style. "Nice Room and Great Location"
Small room, but exactly what I needed for a 2-night stay. Loved the decor of the room. Walked to TD Bank Garden through Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market and back. Short cab rides to nearly everywhere.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel was fine for my needs. The decor is a bit dated and my room had an odd aroma...but aside from those items I would recommend this hotel as a cheaper alternative to other local places. Very convenient to the Financial district.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location for a boutique, economy priced hote"
Awesome location, one block from Faneuil Hall and many bars and restaurants. Seems it was a tired old hotel, redone and still being upgraded. They were replacing front windows as i departed in Mid March 2013. Seems small, but rooms and bathrooms are spacious. Request an upper floor to get away from street noise.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
