The Nine Zero - a Kimpton Hotel is located adjacent to the Freedom Trail in the Ladder District of Boston, Mass. This property overlooks the Old Granary Burying Ground, and stands one block from Boston Common.
Hotel Features.
The hotel's small, stylishly decorated lobby overlooks Tremont Street. The hotel hosts complimentary wine receptions each afternoon. Breakfast is served daily and room service is available 24 hours a day. The conference center is open 24 hours and is staffed during business hours. Wired and wireless Internet access (complimentary) are available throughout the hotel. The hotel includes a complimentary, 24-hour fitness room that contains cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, and free weights. Outdoor exercise includes hiking The Freedom Trail that leads to 16 significant historic sites. The Nine Zero welcomes pets. Hotel staff walks, grooms and arranges massage treatments for dogs, by appointment (surcharge).
Guestrooms.
The 19-story Nine Zero hotel offers 190 nonsmoking guestrooms with complimentary wired and wireless, high-speed Internet access. Beds feature oversize leather headboards, pillowtop mattresses, and European down comforters (bedspreads) and pillows. Décor elements include black furniture with brushed-chrome accents, chrome lamps and high-backed chairs paired with ottomans. Marble bathrooms provide bathrobes, makeup mirrors and spa-inspired toiletries by Etro. Select accommodations contain showers only, while others include shower/tub combinations. Rooms feature CD players with iPod docks, and the reception desk stocks a supply of CDs. Minibars feature Nantucket Off-Shore cocktail mixes with tins of rim flavorings that coordinate with the mixes. The hotel provides complimentary yoga baskets for in-room use, and the fitness channel airs "Yogilates" routines.

"ok stay, but not impressed"
Had tickets to book of Mormon and decided to have a nice weekend stay in Boston. Usually stay at the omni for events like these but decided to give nine-zero a try. Paid extra for the skyline view, but got a view of rusty air handling equipment. Granted, it was on the roof of the adjoining building and we didn't have a brick wall view, but not what […] I had in mind for a romantic skyline view. The hotel was lovely, the staff were attentive and all you expect from a hotel of this class. We only stayed for 1 night so had limited exposure to the amenities. Overall, for a grownup night out without kids, the nine-zero was a bit of a let down. The staff was wonderful and seemed to be truly happy to work there. I was also very happy with the hotels location and very close proximity to everything. I think this hotel is over-rated on the "romantic" end. It's contemporary design made it unique and the queen bed was very comfortable and the room sound-proof. Response by Nine Zero Hotel, a Kimpton Hotel Thank you for sharing a "romantic" weekend with us. I understand we were missing the heart-shaped jacuzzi tubs - but we try to set the mood - with great service and a few other surprises if we can. Driving in Boston can be confusing with all the one-way streets and random name changes. We are sorry that we were so hard to find. Unfortunately our historic district limits the signage we can have on the street. Fortunately, unlike Shang-ri-la, we are easy to find again after you leave.

We arrived at the hotel a few hours before check-in time planning to drop off our bags, but we were happy to find out our room was ready and we were able to check in right away. It was very hot in Boston during our visit, and the staff kept ice cold water with orange and lemon slices available in the lobby. "Great Location on Beacon Hill, Boston"
The best thing about the hotel is its location on Tremont, near the Common and on the Freedom trail. My room had a great view of the street and the historic burial grounds across the street. The hotel is located in a great area of Boston, walking distance to metro station (T), and stores and restaurants. They had wine tasting room from 5-6 every day during our stay, which was free and very well organized. The service was decent and our rooms were cleaned at least twice a day. This is the second Kimpton hotel I've stayed in and wish I could stay in one every time I traveled. The hotel and the rooms are fantastic. And the staff is always top notch. "Nine Zero Hotel in Boston-A little too pricey"
We booked a trip to Boston on the busiest weekend of the year apparently. To be fair, ALL the hotels we looked up were overpriced. Here are my likes and dislikes. Likes: 1) Great concierge and front desk staff. Helpful and friendly. 2) Chic furnishings 3) Great location 4) Complimentary wine hour (tho it was packed and we had to stand) Dislikes: 1) […] Loud. Our room was not sound proof and thus, I was woken up the first two mornings early from someone upstairs (I even use a sound machine that blocks noise!) 2) The bed, while very nice could have been more comfortable for the price we paid. I hated the pillows. Asked for 2 extra foam pillows after the first night and only got 2 more synthetic down ones...neck cramps galore! 3) Too pricey for what you get. I love boutique hotels, but for the price we paid (which I imagine was higher than normal because of the time of year), I expect a certain amount of attention to details that was lacking --such as had to ask twice for extra pillows, no turn down service, bed was just ok, not great, noise level bad, no papers delivered or complimentary water etc. All those "extras" that make paying a lot for a hotel seem more worth it. All I have to say is YES YES YES when it comes to Nine Zero. Upon arrival I felt comfortable. Service with a smile is an understatement. Our room was beautiful. Very modern and comfortable. the only downside was problems with the elevators in the hotel...there were only two to access all floors and one or both were not working at various times during our stay. It was only a minor inconvenience, really not a problem. All else was terrific. The hotel was close to all of the historic sites that we wanted to see and we only needed mass transit […] for one outing. Everything was walking distance. The area was pedestrian friendly, a couple of beautiful parks (Boston Common and the Gardens) were only minutes away by foot. We had very, very good time in the hotel. Very nice, helpful and friendly staff. When we first checked in I didn't like where our room was overlooking and they change it for very nice room overlooking the main street. We were supposed to stay only 3 days, but our flight was cancelled because of the hurricane Irene and they were very helpful. The hotel […] gave us very good prices for the days we had to remain. At the end we stayed 10days in total and we enjoyed it very much. The hotel has free wine reception in the afternoon which is very pleasant if you're around at this time.
