Boston’s centerpiece is the Common, America’s oldest public park. The park features a historic graveyard, Swan Boats, and the Frog Pond—an ice skating rink in the winter. The gold dome of the state house sits above the common. The area is heavy with history, and visitors can find references to founding fathers even among the modern buildings of the Theatre District and Downtown Crossing.see all hotels in Boston
The room was beautiful, the staff was lovely and the bed was hands down the most comfortable hotel bed I've ever slept in. Great location allowed us access to everything within a comfortable walking distance. I highly recommend them.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice room, reasonable value. We liked the Starbucks one the first floor. It was difficult to find the parking lot. It is almost impossible to see the sign if you are coming on Washington from the south.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Perfect for an overnight stay after going to Boston Opera House to see Wicked. Hotel was around the corner from the T-station and within easy walking distance to the Playhouse. We stopped for a quick bite to eat at the bar before running of to the play. The bartender was friendly and food was satisfying.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very convenient to downtown Boston"
This hotel was right next to a subway stop and everything we needed to see in Boston was within walking distance. The rooms were clean, the hotel was well maintained and the staff was friendly. We were able to check in very early (an unexpected bonus!). We were very pleased staying here for our college visit to Emerson.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in the heart of Boston"
Overall it was a good experience. The one problem was that 6:30am the fire alarm went off and they were unable to reset the flashing light in the room. Finally, 8:30am the light went out.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, with some pricey extra costs"
location pretty good - close to lots of stuff. Pricey parking, and they demand extra money for internet access that's provided for free in cheaper hotels - feeling a little nickel & dimed...Genuine Expedia guest review
"Reasonably priced, good location"
The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great location if you plan on walkingGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great deal for Boston experience"
This Doubletree was convenient to all Boston attractions. My only complaint was waking up to kids playing at the YMCA literally outside of my window after a late night Red Sox game. I believe there was an entrance to the YMCA within the hotel. So if you stay here, request that you are not on the second floor because you will literally be woken up by […] soccer balls outside your window. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Closest Hotel to Tufts Medical Center"

"Great central location"
We asked for a quiet room and got one on the inner courtyard. It was very quiet...no street noise or noise from other rooms.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is a beautiful facility and convenient to almost any inner city venue. Friendly, experienced staff and very responsive. Rooms are clean,, extremely comfortable and beautifully appointed. Food alone is worth the trip. Proportions are more than ample and the flavors are incredible. Room service is fast, efficient and friendly, however the prices […] are a somewhat high. "Close to Tufts Hospital"
We had a nice stay here and the staff was very kind. I was way early and they still found me a room. The breakfast was good. The only problem now is the updates they are doing on the hotel. the front of the hotel is torn up and if you aren't paying attention you will have to haul you bags up the front stairs. The valet parking was quite expensive but […] they did pull our car around quickly when we needed it. You can walk to the park and Chinatown. Right across from the ER entrance to Tufts although we never heard any sirens. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good Boston Location"
The staff was great, hotel was overall very clean and convenient location. Only gripe was the mattress, it had no support and now my back is really soreGenuine Expedia guest review
Overall, we were pretty pleased with our stay. The bed was comfy and the breakfast was really good. We ended up not arriving until the following morning of when we were supposed to arrive and because of this, the valet lot was full. The attendant was very helpful though and allowed us to leave our car by the curb which is for loading only until a space […] became available. The concierge was also nice and helpful. The complaints...For some reason, we were put into a handicap room (neither of us are handicap). The only difference this made was with the bathroom. The shower head coil was broken which made water go everywhere unless you held it a certain way...this was probably my main complaint. Also, our room was right next to where the hotel staff take their smoke breaks so it was a little noisy the first morning. The second night/morning, I left the bathroom fan on and it blocked out the noise. Our room was also right next to the lobby and service elevator which caused a lot of noise. It wasn't a huge deal, but I wish we had asked for a different room. I would most likely stay at this hotel again because of the comfort of the bed, the price and the convenient location, but I would be a little more selective when requesting a room. However, if I can find another hotel that is comparable and around the same cost, I would be inclined to try it versus staying here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good Business Hotel"
Good location between down town and China Town.Opposite Tuffts Medical Center..Subway (T) right next door. Rooms quiet at least at the back and facing the inner courtyard.Wall to wall carpeted floors and quiet close doors. Very good service. Unusual lobby in that lobby and check in is on second floor. "correct, but disappointing"
Good location downtown, and near a metro stop going to the airport ... So the hotel is full of aircraft crews, and then you realize the kind of hotel is it; Good one; sure. But for the supposed number of stars, quite disappointing. Room (2 double beds) is just small, bathroom is minimal. Good that there was a deal and the price for our night night was […] much reduced Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel but be warned"
My specific gripe with this hotel would be specific to the parking situation. The on site parking is valet only and if VERY expensive. I would say VERY unreasonably so. I have stayed at hotels in the Boston Metro area before and there was no onsite parking at those hotels either but they had parking ramps nearby that you park at and the price was waived. […] This was not the case here. It would have been nice to know that I would have been incurring such a large expense that I had not budgeted for as it was essentially a third of the price of the room per night. The main reason I booked this room was the value, so if I knew what the ACTUAL cost per night would be I would have booked a better hotel room. Either way. They hotel itself was nice. The clerks at the desk were very friendly and helpful and I would possibly stay here again if I did not drive as the location is very close to the theater district and a short cab ride to everywhere else. Overall experience was a good one. Very pleasant staff! Only downside was the parking. .....$$43 a night was a killer!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Except parking, internet need you pay extra, everything else is good. The biggest benefit is that you can use full YMCA fitness center while you stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel was good choice. It sits across the street from a hospital. The building is also connected to a YMCA. The lobby of the hotel is connected to a Starbucks, which was convenient. The location was great. It was within walking distance of several restaurants and theaters.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice and Friendly Hotel"
The entire process from check-in to check-out was very simple and easy. I was able to valet park and check-in quickly with no issues. The lady at the front desk was very nice. The room was exactly what I had requested and was nice and clean. They even had an empty mini-fridge which was very helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Definitely coming here again!"

"Location was perfect- righ next to T"
The double tree was perfect for our girls weekend in Boston. It is directly next to the Tufts Medical Center t stop and we could get anywhere so quickly. The hotel was great ESP for the money spent. The windows open- cough cough- the floors underneath the carpet and wood and creeky. Overall for a weekend away with friends it was perfect.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"OK for a quick one night stay."
This was a one night stay for an event. The hotel and staff were very nice. Parking was expensive. If I need to be in the area again I would consider staying here, but I would skip the breakfast...expensive and not very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient hotel in Chinatown"
very convenient for metro + Boston common + Theatre district. Access to YMCA gym was a bonus.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Very nice hotel in a great location"
This is a very nice hotel and a great location. The hotel is older but very well maintained and updated. The beds are extrememly comforatble and the room was clean. Our view was not very good and looked out on what appeared to be a rooftop storage area. You may want to request a room on a higher floor and with a good city view.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Clean and Friendly"
The decor is pretty tired but it is clean and the staff was friendly. I must have missed it when reading about the hotel but YOU DO have access to a pool and fitness center at the YMCA next door. Had I known, I would have brought my stuff!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to T and close to theaters"
Overall, the stay was comfortable. However, we were disappointed in the food service and the quality of the food. We ate one meal at the hotel and the food was awful - cold, uncooked and poor-tasting and over-priced. The soup of the day was pasta fajoli, which contained no pasta and was little more than chicken broth with a few greens. We ate all other […] meals elsewhere. The hotel was clean, the attendants were friendly and the location was very good for our needs. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Super friendly service"
Very nice service, Loved the warm cookie and service at the front desk :)Genuine Expedia guest review
The location is very good, less than a minute's walk to the subway station. And very close to all the restaurants in Chinatown. The housekeeping is pretty good, but when we first came into the room, it has a strange smell.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good hotel that met our needs"
Nice hotel that met our needs and expectations. It was close to a "T" station but was still within walking distance of Boston Commons and other attractions.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was very nice, hotel personnel was very helpful and always pleasant and friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Upon arrival, my girlfriend and I parked our car promptly and had a speedy check in. Our first problem occurred when we opened the door to our room and looked out of the window. The window in our room looked out into some sort of a maintenance or storage area; we could not see outside of the building as the windows in the maintenance area was partially […] blocked by some sort of opaque curtain. In order to ease our claustrophobia, we asked the front desk if we could change rooms, which they did quickly and easily. The second issue came with the second room that we were put in. This room was on the same level as the outdoor track for the YMCA that was in the hotel (the second floor roof). So, while I was standing in front of the window, someone outside on the track walked by and looked directly into our room; pretty uncomfortable feeling when you're trying to sleep or take a nap. So the only other option was to monitor the area for patrons and keep the blinds closed while people were using the facility. Also, our room did not have a fridge, nor a microwave. "Okay for a quick trip"
The hotel was fine overall. Site did say it had a pool but the only available pool was next door at the YMCA where you have to buy a swim cap....basically just for laps. It is right by the orange line which was great. Also could've used a channel guide and an affordable DVD player option. Didn't have in room movies either. Overall OK.Genuine Expedia guest review
