DoubleTree Club by Hilton Hotel Boston Bayside is a half-mile (0.8 kilometers) from the University of Massachusetts Boston. The hotel is one block from the subway stop to Boston and Cambridge, and the Boston Trolley Tour stops in front of hotel. One mile (1.6 kilometers) away is Carson Beach and the Edward J. McCormack Bathhouse, complete with changing rooms, showers, and even chess tables and bocce courts. Attractions in downtown Boston, such as the Financial District, Fenway Park, and Boston Common are also two miles (3.2 kilometers) from the hotel, and Logan International Airport is located just six miles (10 kilometers) away. The hotel offers access to nearby water recreation, from kayaking and fishing to whale watching. Bicycle and Segway rentals are located near the hotel as well.

"Decent Location at Reasonable Price"
Was looking for a hotel over Marathon weekend when many locations have high nightly rates. The Doubletree was very reasonable. While not downtown, you can see the subway stop from the hotel and the transportation system is very easy to use. There is also a grocery store within walking distance and the Harbor is also nearby. The staff was outstanding. […] Every person greeted you with a smile through the entire hotel. The shuttle to and from the airport was convenient and they were accommodating with early check in and provide a return shuttle to the airport late in the day after we checked out. "Good deal just off the beaten path"
Very nice hotel. Well-kept, clean, modernized, attractive. Good lobby, and good cafe, snack, and bar options on-site, given that the hotel is not close to any other restaurants or eatery nearby. Lovely comfortable rooms except that our king-size bed was worn out on both sides and only comfortable and firm enough in the middle. Quiet location, however […] our floor/neighbors were very noisy in the hallways on both nights - only complaint. Two blocks from subway stop on red line - pretty convenient; just stay alert walking to/from. We had no trouble at all, though tried not to stay out late at night. Free hotel shuttle from airport, which is necessary given the distance, and would've been a dealbreaker without. Doable on public transport, but not easy with much luggage. "Fine"
This isn't by any means a luxury hotel. It is fine but nothing outstanding. It was close to the T (train station) which was super helpful (and the main reason we selected it). I was looking to be close to the city without paying to be right in the city. This hotel is within walking distance of the JFK redline stop and you can be downtown in less than 20 min. The staff was very courteous and helpful. They have a shuttle service to a local restaurant and a 5 minute walk to the train for about a 15 minute ride into Boston. The room was big and very clean with refreshing shower, and a small refrigerator to put drinks in. We would definitely stay here again. The courtesy shuttle to airport is very clean and well maintained and driver very nice. "Close to City Center but Less Expensive"
The hotel is very quiet but is relatively isolated. There are no restaurants, shops, or other conveniences within a short walking distance. It is, however, a short walk to the "T" Redline station, which takes you quickly to the downtown center of Boston and to connections to other subway lines and transit options. It's also a very short drive to Logan, […] but avoid rush hour traffic if you expect to get there quickly. The food that is available at the hotel is limited and mediocre at best. There is no complimentary breakfast. Given the room rates of downtown Boston hotels, I found this to be a good choice when trying to watch the travel budget but still be within a few minutes to the center of Boston. "A good well equipped hotel, close to transport"
As my rating indicates this hotel was generally very good: clean, well equipped with all the basics, and a very helpful staff. There were a few small things that were either strange or not so good: The use of internet was strange. They told us that we could use it for free in the lounge area. This was true but in fact we were able to use it for free […] in our room as well even though our room was nowhere near the lounge. They did not say that this was an option. We were told that if you wanted WIFI in your room you had to purchase a connection plan. It was only because I tried to connect as if I was in the lounge that I found out that it still worked well in the room. I think that the WIFI should be included in the room cost and that this should be made clear. The exercise room was very small and had only 2 treadmills, 1 stepper and a weight machine.
