The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers stands along Park Square east of the Back Bay area of Boston, Mass. The Arlington "T" stop is located less than two blocks away. This property is positioned with easy access to Newbury Street, Faneuil Hall Marketplace, and the Theater and Financial districts.

Built by E.M. Statler in 1927, The Boston Park Plaza Hotel & Towers has hosted presidents, sports legends, and famous entertainers. This property is a member of the Historic Hotels of America. On-site restaurants and lounges include McCormick & Schmick's, which serves an extensive seafood menu prepared from freshwater and saltwater fish. Swan's Café presents an American menu. Finale café serves desserts, whereas M.J O'Connors Irish Pub serves traditional Irish fare.
A 24-hour business center houses five computer stations; business services include a technology help desk and an Internet point. A total of 65,000 square feet of function space and 39 meeting rooms accommodate events. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel for a fee. When booking on the internet, a person should not be able to book a double bed if there are two people. There is absolutely no place to put luggage. It should kick it out indicating that the room is smaller than a european room. Rooms are ok-very old and cleanliness just ok. As someone said, the rooms are small and wifi internet is free only in the lobby, when internet is on, which only happened in the first morning. As in all hotels in America, breakfast is too expensive, but there are many surrounding options, including in the same block and building of the hotel. "Comfortable stay"
Hotel was nice, lots of seating in the lobby area. Room was clean and comfortable. Only the house keeping staff tower lounge staff said good morning. When other pass, they don't say much of anything. Good evening hors d'oeuvres and a continental breakfast in the tower lounge - if you are a member or get an upgrade. Can't accommodate a lot of persons […] - not restaurant size. Great price for a nice room. One of my beds made a weird noise when I moved. One night we had fire alarms, but i only heard one beep and then 60 seconds later there was an announcement that we could go back to bed...I don't know if it was a false alarm, but the system was a little weird. I've stayed at this hotel a number of times. It's in a great location for the price. The rooms are just okay. They are a bit outdated, but this place does have the feel of a "grand old hotel". I stayed in Boston for a work trip and had a few hours during the day to myself, and being right in the heart of downtown was perfect. I didn't have to take the T anywhere, and it was convenient to drop stuff off during the course of the day. The only thing to be aware of before booking is that the average room size is very small. Overall very nice hotel with large open hallways and common areas. Noticeably upscale. Location is very good close to restaurants and theaters. My room and bathroom were extremely small but sufficient for a short stay. Toilet practically sits on top of the tub. Breakfast buffet was good but nothing more than what you would get at a Holiday Inn Express […] and I didn't feel it was worthy of the $25 price tag, but it is an upscale hotel so I suppose that counts for something. "Perfect for our needs"
I booked this hotel for the great price and location, and was glad I did. Great walking distance to the Commons and easy access to the trolley. The concierge, the bellmen and Valet guys were all fantastic. A slight hiccup at check in, we had booked a double room and found a very small room with one queen, it took forever to get it straightened out and […] then it turns out they had double booked the room as well as a father/daughter duo also came to our room. While the manager was somewhat apologetic the girl at the counter found it a total inconvienence and doubted my claims that there was truly only a queen in the room which i did not appreciate. We got a better room out of the deal, but it would have been nice for all of the hassle to have had a little more TLC. The hotel as a whole is beautiful and good food and drinks at the restauraunt. Avoid the gift shop, almost $4 for a Dasani bottle of water. TV was a little whacky too but as we were hardly in the room it wasnt a big issue. "Great location, elegant hotel"
My girlfriend and I decided to take a spontaneous trip to Boston for the weekend and found this hotel, which was at a great price and was in an amazing location. You're within a couple blocks from endless shopping on Newbury Street and the beautiful Boston Common park. Luckily the weather was very spring-y that weekend so walking to both was a breeze. […] Also, the hotel is situated pretty evenly between Fenway Park in one direction and downtown Boston in the other, both about 1.5 miles, or a $12 cab ride away. Finally, the surrounding area had plenty of bars and restaurants all along the price spectrum within walking distance if you preferred to stay put. The hotel itself was also great for this weekend. The lobby was extremely beautiful and elegant and the gym was serviceable for both my girlfriend and I to put a couple miles on the treadmill/elliptical and use the weight machines. The room was fine and the bed was nice. We spent most of our time out on the town so I don't have much more to say other than there were no real issues with the hotel. The only two minor complaints were the doors to the hotel rooms seemed to stay ajar, so just make sure you give it a little nudge when you come or go. Also, make sure you have pocket cash for tipping. The staff is very attentive and expects you to recognize them for it with a couple bucks. "historical, elegant prestige but not history buff"
Prestigious name. Old style elegance, great location and reasonable price when booked in advance (one month) Appreciate the business center w/ 5 computers and color printer. But room was a sauna because of the computer equipment couldn't stay in there for more than 20 min. Beautiful lobby ballrooms. But no benefit to us. Our rate did not include breakfast […] :( since it looked delicious and in middle of lobby but didn't think it was worth the extra cost- dinner equivalent. Instead 8@ Au Pain 4 brkst. Arlington T stop just across the street. Boston garden and commons just across the street. Chinatown few blks away. wished they had gym, fridge more counter space in bathroom. But room was big enough to have 2 beds though a probably would be cramped. We had the petit double which was ok for me and daughter in double bed so that's why room was reasonable priced vs a queen bed or 2 beds. Glad they had that option cuz it would be too high for us otherwise. We just slept there and impressed our friends with the location and name of hotel. Interestingly no hotel name souvenirs to take from room (hotelshampoo tc or match books etc) or buy in gift store (like Boston park plaza hotel coffee mugs or t shirts) guess they don't want to sully their name or prestige or sell their name. Or don't need the free advertising with people carry around stuff with their name on it. But I wished there was something other than the receipt that showed I stayed there. A pen?... "Ideal location"
Hotel was very jaw dropping from the outside and main lobby. Room was very tiny. Bathroom was even smaller. The window looked outside to other guests windows where If you didn't pull the sheers down you could definitely see through. Window didn't open. The temperature in the room was way too hot and adjusting the thermostat didn't help. Only stayed […] here one night, but there were a few hairs on the side of the bed and in the bathroom. Not sure if the housekeeping wasn't on par or if its always like that. The walls are paper thin, and we were close to the elevator so every time someone got off on our floor, you could hear the elevator chime ding. And every time the next door neighbors flushed... Which for whatever reason you had to flush at least three times just for a #1... So you could imagine for a #2. Could've probably saved some money going to another hotel in the area.
