We loved this small hotel tucked inside the Copley Square neighborhood. Will look forward to staying there again. Great people. Great comfort. Fabulous little details that make it unique.

Service was excellent. Check-in occurs at a podium in the small lobby and the receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Bellhop service was not required but a bellman was stationed at the entrance in any case. A lift is available for the handicapped. The room was somewhat narrow but clean and tastefully appointed. The bed was firm and comfortable. […] There was a narrow space between the foot of the bed and the desk but easily negotiable. The bathroom was small and the biggest problem was the bathroom door which is too large for the room. I had to squeeze around it to be able to get in the bathroom and close the door, A pocket door would be better. Shampoo, soaps, towels were all good quality and the bathroom, shower/bath and water glasses were clean. Newspaper every day at the door. A small exercise room is available. Shaw's supermarket across the street. Near Boylston St and the Marathon site. Close to the T and the Marriott and Westin are essentially across the street. Would definitely stay there again, might ask for a different room if I was traveling with my wife. Read more

I was there for a week, which is a long time to get to know a hotel. The staff was very friendly, the accommodations were nice and my room was very quiet. The room I had was small but I realize Boston is expensive. And I didn't feel cramped even thought the space was small because it was an efficient layout. The free AM coffee, midday hot chocolate, […] and evening wine are definite perks! And one morning when I was obviously exhausted at 4am with no coffee brewed yet, a nice gentleman made me a cup and refused a tip! The gym is small but not busy so you can get your exersice in. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and polite. Customer service Excellent, rooms and renovations outstanding - the wine down social - awesome touch. Great fitness center for this type of hotel also. My only comment that isn't glowing is the service level of the wait staff at dinner and at breakfast. This is an area for improvement. Overall it was satisfactory, but there were a few things that make it so I would not return to the hotel. I would prefer to stay at the Marriot or Westin. I had a series of meetings next door at the Copley Westin; The room was clean, comfortable, and service was excellent; The hotel staff went out of their way to welcome you in at every return to the hotel as if they knew you personally.

Despite booking wrong hotel and having different expectations the service was great bathe staff friendly and accommodating. Jude went out of his way to make our stay lovely. A lower rating on the arrive as ingot stuck in the cities oldest elevator for 5 min and the shower faucet was a little stiff. But overall a 4 out of 5.

I was especially pleased by the comfort of the hotel and the various amenities. The bed is extremely comfortable and the in-room and food at Xhale was outstanding. I attended a business conference on the Hynes Convention Center and this was a perfect hotel when considering price and location. The Hynes is 10 minute walk away and a block from the hotel you can find the Copley station for the T. The hotel was undergoing renovations but that didn't affect my stay at all. Boston was pretty well booked on the days of my stay and choices were limited, but regardless, at the Copley Square Hotel, there are very different calibers of rooms. Mine was a sardine can, or what I'm sure a European guest would call cozy, and my view was of a the Hotel's shaftway and a brick wall. The size of the room was tolerable, but the view […] took a lot away from the stay-- it may just be the quality of the room that you're stuck with when you book and pay upfront. Otherwise, the hotel was nice, had a boutique feel and a pretty cool dance club in the basement-not that I was able to enjoy it on a Thursday night. The Copley Square Hotel is a relatively small hotel that is well-run and has a capable staff. The rooms are comfortable, though our double was a little on the tight side. The closet was very large, as was the bathroom, so it could have just been the odd geometry of our particular room. The beds were soft and I slept well. The wireless worked fine. My […] one complaint about the room was that it was a bit dark. The curtains on the window were so big and billowy that you couldn't push them open to let light into the room, so we had to have the lights on even during the day, which was a bit silly. The complimentary wine service was a nice treat and a good way to socialize with some guests. I was surprised that the wine was actually quite good quality. It would have been nice to have had a breakfast included in the hotel package. Friends staying there said the restaurant's breakfast was worth the money, but I did not have the time in the mornings for sit-down service, so I did not try it. The hotel was two blocks away from the Hynes Convention Center in one direction and Back Bay train station in the other. I would certainly stay there again for another conference -- the convenience, wine, and soft bed helped take the edge off a busy day. Read more

The hotel exceeded expectations for price, comfort, and location. Hotel staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend Copley Square if you are attending a conference in Boston, or just wanting to see the sights. Either way, the staff will get you where you need to go.

My biggest problem with the room was how noisy it was! The sound of footfall from the room above seemed as though it was occupied by giants! An older hotel, and the carpeting showed its age, but gnerally quite nice. Wonderfully friendly staff, great location, just off Copley Square. The room was undersized for the king size bed, and if you are on the 2nd floor, be prepared to hear music at night from the club at street level.

The hotel was in a good location. The rooms are fairly small but clean. Valet may seem pretty pricey but regular parking isn't much less. Food was very good and the pricing was very reasonable. Overnight front desk person was a little standoffish. It's a solid 3 but could be much more with some upgrades and customer service touches.
