"Weeknd in Boston"
The hotel was very comfortabe but a little on the epensive side. Since it is near Boston Common it is very easy to walk around an see the sights.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice Rooms"
We spent two nights in The Taj and were pleasantly pleased by the size of the room and cleanliness. It was the little details that impressed me most: complimentary water on my nightstand, oversized bath towels, slippers at the foot of the bed and a newspaper each morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were right next to a T station and five […] stops from Boston Garden. All in all well worth the money. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent"
This elegant, stately hotel is very well located at the end of Newbury St. The quality of everything is impeccable, every detail carefully considered. I would definitely stay here again. If I should suggest a couple of improvements, however, I would say to offer free wifi (it should be standard in every hotel I believe), and to add accessible sockets […] for plugging in phones, ipads, etc. (The only one we could find was on the side of one of the beds, which wasn't comfortable for my friend in the other bed). "Wow!"
I stayed here with my sister to celebrate her birthday in February 2013. I had mentioned this in an email to the Taj and they had a birthday surprise waiting for her - strawberries dipped in chocolate, delicious cookies, and mini cupcakes with a candle. Great location for shopping and eating on Newbury St. and Boylston - right across the street from […] Public Garden. Very close to subway. I had requested early/late checkout and they accommodated us. Just can't say enough wonderful things about Taj Boston. Will definitely stay here on every trip I make to Boston. 5 stars ***** !! "An absolute must stay !"
Wow, this hotel was maybe the best hotel I have ever stayed at. It was super convenient to get on the green line on the MTA, the hotel was absolutely immaculate, our room was very roomy and extravagant.. absolutely loved it. The only ding I give it is dealing with having a car, as it's a mess on Arlington to drop off and get setup at the hotel.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Taj Boston has perfect location - luxury hotel in"
There is no better location in Boston than that of the Taj (it is the former Ritz-Carlton). Just across the street from the Public Garden, the Taj offers a picnic basket lunch to take there. Amazing in the cleanliness for an older building. Top quality furnishings, linens and bedding. Wonderful amenities in the rooms. A luxury destination hotel. NOTE: […] As with all buildings of this era in Boston, cell phones will not work in them. My iPhone got eMail and text messages, but not phone calls. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location & fantastic housekeeping services"
Best location in Boston - just across from the historic Boston Public Garden. Immaculately clean! It's an older building and even older luxury hotels have difficulty keeping these buildings clean, but this was spotless. Comfortable beds, luxury bed & bath linens, great bathrooms & amenities, up to date TV's. Cell phones do not work in the hotel (or […] other buildings like this in Boston). The Bar has wonderful service and food. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Taj in Boston"
The old Ritz Carlton has been renamed the Taj and under new management. It has recently had a makeover. The hotel is one of the old grand Boston hotels and it is in great condition with the new owners. The only complaint we had was that the bar and dining room service was exceeding slow and didn't seem well organized.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent location, service just ok"
This hotel was formerly the Ritz Carlton in Boston. Its a very nice location in Back Bay next to the public gardens - worth the extra fee to get a park view room. The room is nicely appointed, although the bathroom is a little small and they do not provide extra towels in the room. Only complaint was the service. We stayed for two nights. No paper was […] delivered the first morning, and when we returned in the afternoon are key was deactivated and no one had serviced the room. This was a particular pain since we only had two sets of towelsto beginwith. We asked the front desk to have someone at least refresh the towels when we went out that evening. When we returned, the same soggy towels were laying on the floor and we had to call down yet again. One last issue: although we prepaid for two rooms through hotels.com, the hotel stil charged my card again for one of the rooms. They did quickly correct the mistake when we called the hotel. Overall the location and appointments of the room were great and we would consider staying again, despite the spotty service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Everything was just perfect. Far more than expected having stayed at the old Ritz. The service was beyond compare and the Sunday brunch was incredible.
