Hamton in. Gonzales is a great place to stay . Shopping near by, plenty places to eat out , a clean hotel , with very friendly service. The breakfast is quite a spread , too. Large spider on wall in room, huge, 2 inches plus. Caught him in ice bucket and called the front desk to come get it, after waking my girlfriend from being scared to death. We were in town for a wedding and just needed a hotel for a quick overnight stay. We had anticipated that we would need two double beds, but plans changed and we only needed one bed. My wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Gonzales for two nights on the weekend before Mardi Gras. The hotel was clean, not exceptional but well kept. My wife and I were very pleased with the clean and comfortable room. Wifi seemed a little slow but room was equipped with a nice frig and flat screen TV. Elevators were in good working order and fast. Swimming pool was nice and clean.
