The room was dirty. There was dried urine on the toilet seat and bowl, The guest attendendant came and cleaned it for us but eww gross. The bathroom faucet had not been cleaned and had dried toothpaste from the previous guest on it. Visable dirt on walls, headboards and tv stand dusty. Our initial check in spoke volumes for how the rest of our stay would go. The clerk couldn't be bothered to look at me or even smile! The room was musty and unclean. Worse hotel we have ever stayed in. Dirty. Noisy. Many problems. Pool was very small. "It is a bad experience You Are Not going to FORGET!"
1.When we 1st entered the smell of age and staleness/damp hits you 2. The room was not dusted properly 3. Towels and wash cloths were hard and not enough of them. On one wash cloth was a dried glue like substains ; so it was unuseable 4. Great Hot water. 5. Carpet definitely needs to be ripped you as it was old and frade 6. The hotel looked very clean from the outside and the person on duty was very friendly. However after entering the room it had a smell but after we went in and out a few times the smell seemed to go away. The reservation stated a non smoking King size bed. After arriving we were told their were no rooms with king beds available, only rooms with two full beds. We were also told that booking in advance through a third party booking site does not guarantee a bed choice. "Dirty Room"
The first room I received was beyond digusting. It smelled like something died in there. When I checked out the bathroom there were pee marks all over the toilet and dirt built-up around the skid protector in the tub. I used a napkin to try and remove the rubber skid protector and to my dismay I found something much worse under it. "Worst I've Stayed In"
The first room they gave us keys to had either not been cleaned, or was already being occupied by someone. Further, it smelled like someone died inside. The next room was not a King Bed like I reserved, at least smelled somewhat better, but was still kind of icky. Hardly any of the TV channels came in, including local channels. I awoke the next morning […] to the sound of the fire alarm -- no idea what that was about. Went to get breakfast and walked out as soon as I walked in the dining room -- it was an absolute mess -- garbage overflowing, food and trash all over the floor, the bar itself was wiped out, not that I would have eaten in there any way. I definitely would not stay here again -- I've stayed in plenty of hotels, and i don't have high expectations for what I was paying, but this place was gross, and I wouldn't stay there for free on a return trip. "Red Roof Inn Lancaster Pa Uuuggghhh!"
Looked as though several rooms in my immediate area were homes to several families that occupied these rooms on a regular basis, rooms were rearranged to accommodate their style and were not in the neatest or cleanest condition. They hung out on the outside of the rooms with there doors open, when the person next to me closed the door they slammed it […] every time, this room was occupied by children also which didn't help the situation. Mold grew in the shower, my wife was going to get a bath until I showed her that. The commode ran heavily and steadily all night long requiring us to close the door. This was not at all comfortable, I personally will never stay there again, and do not recommend it to anyone. The pool was nice, but if you have a room near the pool, it is way to close to your room, may as well be in your room. Overall condition of exterior of hotel is great, but interior photos on the internet are deceiving. Actual photos of the hotel were used, but as they did, always use a good camera with wide lenses, everything looks so much bigger and better than it actually is. While checking into the hotel I asked for a bottom floor room because I have a 2 year old boy and a lot of luggage. The receptionest told me that at the rate you got your going to get the fartherst room. The receptionist put us on the futherest room from the lobby on the 3rd floor. We had to walk a long way from the car and then find the elevator, because […] it was an inside room to take our small child and luggage. Where do I begin? 1. The advertised WiFi went out for a number of hours on our first evening which was very inconvenient. Had to call in an IT specialist to fix problem some hours later. 2. Upon our return to the hotel after a day out, the room had not been vacuumed. 3. Also the bed sheets had not been changed. The crumbs from my son's cookies were […] neatly tucked into the bed. 4. When they changed the towels out they did not bring back ANY wash cloths. 5. No stationery, pens or anything at all to write on or with. 6. Although not advertised, there was no coffee maker in the room. 7. Big SECURITY issue, someone from the hotel staff kept propping open the door at the end of the hall that required a key to get in, but they kept propping the door open. 8. A/C was very, very loud and very annoying throughout the evening. Overall, I will NEVER stay here nor do I recommend this hotel to anyone. I am now going to call EXPEDIA and complain also. "Lancaster Red Roof Inn"
First, I never unticipate Red Roof Inn is poorly maintained. The corridors of the third level stinks, elevator stuck, Front desk person while I check in was unfriendly. Breakfasts are free but the flies are unbearable. Furnitures in dining area needs to be replaced. Hope, the management will work on these areas.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
