"rancho las palmas"
Rooms are recently updated ours had a funky musty mildew smell. Service at pool/waterpark needs improvement. Only one server for entire pool. Took an hour to get a drink. This resort is well overpriced for what it is. They are attempting to be high end and fall well short. I would not stay there again unless the room rate was under $150.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Why are you never ready"
It was horrible that a 4pm check in was not honored. We had to wait another 45 minutes to check in. There was no offer to make this right!!! The worst thing was that I was not the only person who had this problem. There were many many people in the same boat. I cannot in all honesty say that I would recommend this style of treatment to my family so […] for those reading this, take what you may from this Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Meh"
At check in, the attendant was almost brusque with our standard questions (and there was not a long line), and then I was disappointed to see that there was no usual binder of resort information in the hotel room. There was only a pamplet for the spa and one for the in-room dining. Then, because the hotel allows dogs, when our neighbors went out to […] dinner, their dog barked for 20 minutes non-stop. I have to compliment the front desk in this regard, though, because they sent security right out to check on the room. Bottom line: we could hear everything happening in the neighboring rooms, which, for a resort catering to kids and dogs, is a lot. We made the mistake of trying to come here for a romantic babymoon. I've stayed in 4 star hotels and this is not one. That said, it's a nice hotel, lovely grounds, nice food, nice pools, the restaurant staff was great. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"It could have been better."
The room we were given was directly adjacent to the main housekeeping storage room. At 8:15 each morning there was loud noise, laughter and banging from the housekeeping crew which woke us up. In addition as we were placed on the first floor which subjected us to an unbelivable amount of noise from the room above. It sounded like there was a basketball […] game going on. We spoke to the the front desk and they had no idea about the housekeeping room and the noise associated with this room which I'm having a hard time thinking that no one ever complained. They said they would move us but after unpacking, the thought of re-packing, moving and unpacking for a couple more day stay wasn't an idea we found appealing. Instead they said they would talk to their housekeeping group and the group above us. Well I can honestly say no one was ever told. The noise never stopped until we actually went to the room above us and started banging on the their door. Unfortunately the housekeeping noise never stopped but as we were morning people we just got up. Not perfect but it is what it is. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Uncomfortable beds & crowded pool"
Overall great stay however the room was never cleaned for us and the double beds were very small and uncomfortable. Also crowded by the pool, no space between the lounge chairs. For a first timer at this hotel i think I will skip going there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very uneven experience"
Very noisy - walls give no sound protection. Minor annoying problems in the room. Pool side service is not responsive. Spa is not very attractive. Very limited menu in the restaurant. That said, very nice areas to sit in the restaurant, firepits and decorations are very nice in the night.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Construction"
We went to this resort because of the water park for the kids and the slides were closed. Very loud construction was going on all weekend from 9-5 even on Sunday. In the room they had a promotion brochure for kids to eat free in one of the restaurants from 6-8, so we went and when we got the bill they said they were no longer doing that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a real luxury resort"
The rooms are very noisy. In 816 we could follow the late night discussions of our neighbours left and right including every step on the wooden floor from the family above us. In addition the main doors are not keeping a lot of noise out...next to the ice machine this was an other issue...all in all a nice location but rooms should be improved regarding […] soundproofness. Reception desk was not able to provide an other room, so we left earlier. This was also no problem as we had to pay a "early" leaver fee...it had to sign for this fee at check in...they seem to know why they are doing so :-))... Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for kids but not the best for just adults."
Hotel is very nice but if you are looking to get away for the weekend and you don't have children, even with the adult pool, I would probably go a different route.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel but expected more"
The pictures make it look more beautiful than it is. This is not a luxury hotel. The pool area was so crowded while we were there over July 4th that it wasn't as fun as it could have been. It's hard to keep things clean with that many people in a pool area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"not great, but ok"
For the price of these rooms, I was not happy with the service or amenities. Service was not great and food, snacks, etc were very expensive. The pool is very kid friendly, but that's about it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pool"
If you're staing here for the pool facilities... Don't bother! The pool cannot accommodate the number of guests that want to use it. I heard many complaints about lack of chairs, etc! And - we were visiting during the "supposed" off-season. We wouldn't spend the money to stay here again -- totally not worth the price!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Even though I paid for 4 adult occupants, the room's amenities were geared toward only two, including exterior seating, towels, cups and glasses. Although the following was not attributable to the hotel, most of the stores on Riverwalk which was across the street from the Hotel, were empty. The Restaurant was very nice and the staff were extremely friendly […] and accommodating. The room's location to the pool and the pool itself were excellant. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Way over priced for what you get!!!"
The room was a joke. The bathroom was even worse. We were there as a family and we could not get a bed or evens chair by the pool. We were on our feet the whole time. When we asked if we could at least get one chair to put our belongings so they would not get wet they looked At us like we had four heads!! We tipped the guy $20.00 finally he agreed to […] find us one chair which took him 1 hour to bring. We tried ordering food by the pool, we ordered at 12.30 and by 5.30 we still did not get our food or drinks!! At 5.30 the server has the nerve to bring a bill of $150.00 and present it to me and demanding a signature!! She was a complete imbecile!! I do not know who they gave the food to but she said she had to get back to me in my room to sort out the mistake!! We left to eat at the restaurant of the resort. We ordered 4 burgers at 6pm and we did not get our food until 8pm!! I would rate this the worse service I have ever experienced. In a nut shell do not bother!! Terrible!! "spring break visit"
I think we would have had a better experience if not for the spring break crowding. The hotel was overbooked, making it impossible to get chairs by the pool. People were heading out in the early morning and taking up rows of chairs. This is not what I wanted to have to do on a vacation at this type of resort. "Great location-poor room acoustics"
We loved the location of this hotel. It is right across from The River, a lovely outdoor shopping and dining complex. However, the room acoustics were horrible. We had a ground level room which turned out to be an adjoining room, as I am sure most are. The doors for those adjoining rooms are paper thin so we listened to our neighbors' children's conversations […] until late at night. We figured, since it was a Saturday night, the neighbors would be leaving on Sunday and they did. Being a ground level room, we also were able to hear every step the guests above us made. The last night we were there, they decided to walk around all night long and we got no sleep. Do not order a ham and cheese sandwich by the pool. For the price, the quality was mini-mart deli at best. On the outside, this property is very nice. The inside definitely needs some fine tuning or updating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not worth the money..."
For the prices, I expected a lot more from this hotel. Upon checking in, I was surprised of a $25/day fee for internet, gym, parking. The landscape was BROWN, which I do not understand when so many of the golf courses in Palm Springs are lush and green. The kids enjoyed the Splashtopia, but it is much smaller than the pictures make it look. The wait […] staff at the pool was non-existance. There were HUNDREDS of families at the pool with ONE waiter. Horrible service. Such a huge revenue stream that the hotel is not tapping into. The rooms were quite small for the price and walls were paper thin (could hear all the other kids in hotel crying or running, etc). The spa was nice and I would recommend the ammenities there, but is very overpriced. The breakfast buffet at BluEmber was fantastic and I would recommend it... but is pricey. Overall, not sure if we would come back based on the prices of the hotel. I was expecting more from a "LUXURY" resort. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Expensive for the quality"
I rarely write reviews. In this case I felt compelled to do so. Room - the rooms are not clean at all. There are ants in our room during out entire stay. The room also had an unpleasant smell. Even inside the drawers are not clean. There are sticky spots on the carpet. Pool - the kid's pool is decent in size and the lazy river is really nice. But be […] aware, it's extremely crowded. If you have little kids who like to stay in the water, this hotel can work. Service - the attendants are really nice and accommodating. They were quick to take away charges if something went wrong. However, a lot of mistakes were made. We ordered some food by the pool, there was a giant ant with wings in the shrimp taco. When we eat breakfast at the BlueAmber, the Belgium chocolate waffle came with no chocolate and the blueberry pancake didn't come with the bacon as indicated on the menu. The cabana rental is really expensive ($155 to $195). Smoothies by the pool are at five star prices but not five star quality. There is an additional $25 per day charge after you've paid in full at hotels.com. Overall, this hotel is expensive for the quality. If you like quality hotels, this is not your thing. If you have little kids and they enjoy water, this can be nice. Also, if you go during low season, it might be less crowded. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"so-so"
for a luxury resort, the service isnt that great. I booked through expedia a one king bed, dog friendly room (which will include amenities for dogs). When we arrived, our room is two full size beds and not dog friendly. and i called front desk he replied "We are run out of your requested room". The thing is, Im pregnant with my first baby, we live in […] los angeles, only 2 and a half hour away from this resort, we want a really nice getaway, which is bed is not a big thing, but big enough to affect my "getaway" moment. The spa menu is pretty affordable, but again, I purchased for couple massage for me and my husband, the therapist arrived 5 minutes late and put me in a single room, before i speak up, then she ran to find where my husband and his therapist were, and put us in a couple room. which, by that time, the time already 15 minutes past the service. for a luxury resort, i would expect better. "Overpriced!"
The resort is beautiful with all the well tended flowers and palm trees, the pool water is warm, and rooms are clean. I liked the access to the golf/tennis on the site. Decent restaurant on site, and across the street at a high-end out-door mall. The woman who checked us in at the front desk was a class A-1 "B---h" and almost runined the vacation before […] it even got started. The food/drinks were overly expensive, and the overall cost to stay at this resort is not justified. There are better deals around. Here, you are paying for the priviledge of staying in Rancho Mirage (Palm Springs). I will not be returning. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Door left ajar by housekeeping! Twice!"
I am torn between whether I'd stay here again or not. Fabulous pool & water features, excellent service at Blu Ember Restaurant, courteous staff however we were shocked to find our hotel room door left ajar two days in a row by housekeeping staff. I spoke to the mgr Juan after mishap #2 & even though he promised to tell his housekeeping staff, Lucinda […] (I think that was her name) didn't hear about the problems & neither did the housekeeper. He said he would touch base w/ us again before or at checkout but that didn't happen either. They have a big problem with lack of communication with their staff and it was very disappointing. It doesn't matter that the facilities and staff were great if your belongings and passports get stolen because of carelessness. Luckily we didn't lose anything but we could easily have lost everything. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"familjehotell Palm Springs"
Stort hotell med fokus på golf. All service kostar extra trots att hotellet debiterar en "anläggningsavgift" utöver rumspriset. Receptionspersonalen är håglös och okunnig om hotellet. Finns betydligt bättre hotell i prisklassen i Palm Springs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
