"Roosevelt Is My Second Home"
If you come to LA, whether for business or you're a tourist, Roosevelt is the best hotel out there. I go to LA all the time and I've even stayed at the Roosevelt for more than a month at a time. The location is great. The staff is amazing. Your car is ready to go whenever you need it, there's 24 hour room service, several restaurants and bars, and the […] most amazing atmosphere imaginable. As long as you respect the hotel, the hotel will respect you. I consider The Roosevelt to be my LA home, and it never disappoints me. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Although the Hollywood Roosevelt had a prime location on Hollywood Boulevard, the room I stayed in was not what I expected for such an iconic establishment. I read that the hotel had recently undergone a huge renovation and while the common areas of the hotel were beautiful, it was obvious that the renovation did not make it to my floor or room. Both […] were dark and dingy and the room itself reminded me of a hostel I stayed in in NYC once, except that room did not come with a mini-bar stocked with full sized bottles of liquor and didn't have a picture of a seeming heroine addict looming over the bed. The carpet was buckled, worn and stained and the furniture was in pretty shabby condition. The chair at the desk (and I am using these terms loosely) was so hard and uncomfortable that I had to stack pillows on it in order to sit and work. The bathroom was nice but could have been cleaner. I hate to find hair in the shower. The bed itself was comfortable and the linens were clean and soft. Overall it was NOTHING like the picture they showed. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hollywood gem"
I loved staying at the Roosevelt hotel. They upgraded me to a poolside cabana room and it was a very cool and spacious room. The Tropicana pool bar was fun and relaxing to lay on their comfy lounge beds overlooking the pool. I didn't want to leave!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right in the middle of things"
Solid 4 star hotel, right in the middle of the Times Square-ish part of Hollywood. The lobby bar was closed for a private event when I stayed, and it seemed like that might happen pretty frequently--which is a shame because it looks like a great space to hang out in. Was woken up at 2:30am by loud, drunk girls in the hall, which also seems like it might […] not be an unusual occurrence. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Facility"
I know it is famous and historic hotel, however; 1. Air conditioner is noisy and when it switches on it makes big noise and wakes up everyone. 2. Bed frame is sticking out of the mattress ,so I got the scratch on my foot.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Perfect fit"
In addition to the great location, I particularly enjoyed the food at the hotel, both room service as well as Public, which was a fun restaurant with an excellent menu and outstanding service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"young party crowd with money to burn"
Most of the people who stay here are a 20 yr old party crowd. Every day of the week the lobby and bars were PACKED with Jersey Shore kids acting obnoxious. Even on a weeknight every room has loud music and loud voices coming out. Good luck trying to sleep in this frat house environment. Standard room the size of a closet. Some of the smallest rooms […] Ive seen for a hefty price. Tiny bathrooms too. You cant use the toilet or sink without closing the door. Bathrooms are made of poured concrete and cheap tile which gives them all the character of a prison cell. Rooms are painted drab grey giving them a cell like feel. Hallways are so dark it resembles a haunted house. Drinks and food are amazingly overpriced. $10 for a draft beer or $17 for a mixed drink. With tip it cost over $40 for 2 jack and cokes at pool bar in plastic cups. Shot and a half at best. The valets are rude. College age desk staff. Best part of the Roosevelt is its location on walk of fame. Id recommend saving money by staying at a hotel nearby... hitting one of the dozens of inexpensive happy hours on the walk of fame and then go sit in the lobby of the Roosevelt for an hour because judging by all the hipster kids, you dont need to be a guest to enjoy the lobby or the pool bar. This once great hotel now has all the aesthetic and ambiance of the Jersey Shore house. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I absolutely love the Roosevelt, however it bothers me that $12 a night hostels have free wifi but the Roosevelt charge you 15 per 24 hours. The other problem I had was while sun bathing by the pool i ordered some food and a cola. As I started drinking the cola I noticed a fly in the drink, I took it back and felt a little unsettled and denied their […] offer for a fresh one. A couple of minutes later the pool attendednt came up to me and gave a fresh cola and told me I didn't have to drink it but it was there if I wanted it. I thought it was a lovely gesture and since I had initially ordered a cola because i wanted to drink one, I drank it. I was completely and utterly shocked that they charged me for it. Regardless of whether or not I drank it they had never and never intended to take the first cola, the fly infested one, off my bill. Absolutely deplorable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Good overall. You have to remember that it is old and, as such, there are a few things that you will notice. Also, in the bathroom whoever painted mustve been half blind. Very cool place though.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very good not great"
I was surprised to see how small the queen room was. I was on the corner of the floor with a very small room. The bathroom has a pedestal sink with no counter space so to get ready I had to use the toilet seat cover. I had to sleep with the air conditioning off due to how loud the unit was. The good things were, it is right in the center of Hollywood […] blvd. so shopping and entertainment was all within walking distance. The decor of the lobby and the bottom floors is beautiful and iconic. If you want to sacrifice little things it is a good location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I have stayed here twice and the first trip the staff we fantastic and friendly, even though the hotel was crazy busy. the second trip the staff were not that friendly. we didnt get helped checking in at 3am! I felt like I was a bother to them. which was a shame for the first stay was fantastic. I'm just going to remember that one :)Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Room was not clean"
I had a good experience with the staff; however, upon checking in, the room was not clean. Linens were clean but the bathroom had hair all over the floor and in the sink, as well as a piece of actual trash on the shower floor. It was not my first stay at the Roosevelt and each time I have similar experiences... I don't think the housekeeping staff is […] very thorough. For that reason, I would not recommend this property. The rooms and bathrooms are very small and kind of dark / dingy. The rest of the property is great though and I really love the location. Parking at $35 is also really too high considering you have to wait 20 minutes @ valet for your car even when there isn't anyone else in line. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would have been better off elsewhere"
The history of the hotel and its excellent location made me decide to try it. I was well aware that this was an older hotel and therefore the rooms would be on the small side. This turned out to be the case, however the size of the room as not that big a deal. For the rate that we paid, however, this was not a good deal. I often wonder if hotels place […] guests who purchase through hotels.com in their less desirable rooms. Whether intentional or not, this hotel placed us in an awful room. The wall of the room was shared by the elevator shaft. Being an older hotel the elevator made a tremendous noise every time it went by, which was pretty much all night long. Additionally, the furniture in the room was showing signs of wear. The chair had cracking and peeling of the upholstery and looked old. The mirror in the bathroom had paint peeling off the back of it making it look tired. The rooms around the pool of the hotel may be a better choice but those were much more expensive. For the price I believe there are much better hotels in the area. We previously stayed in one just around the corner and that is what I will return to if I am in Hollywood again. "Beautiful Hotel"
The hotel has been beautifully restored with thought given to the needs of the business traveler. Excellent lighting in the room and more than enough outlets for the modern traveler. The service is exactly what I expect from a high end hotel. Subtle, professional and pleasant.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Romantic and a fabulous old hollywood feel!"
My husband and I stayed recently for business. We arrived tired from our day, however when we walked in we were in love. The hotel was charming, well appointed and we decided to cancel our "trendy restaurant" reservations in Beverly Hills to dine right at our hotel's restaurant. It was wonderful, fool, service and ambiance. The Hollywood Roosevelt is […] now one of our favorites and we cannot wait to go back! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Very pleased with my stay"
I didn't realize the history and significance of the hotel when i booked it. I also loved the fact that it's right across from Mann's Theatre, that was a pleasant surprise. Everything was really convenient to the hotel - restaurants, grocery and convenience stores, and cafes and great attractions. The hotel itself was beautiful from the grand lobby […] to the poolside bar, everything was extremely "LA" (in a good way). Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location - but needs to focus on service"
Great older hotel in center of Hollywood. Pool area was exceptional. Bed was comfortable. Service has room for improvement. Had early morning meeting the first day and my breakfast order card hadn't been picked up from the door - so no breakfast arrived. ( I was the last door on the corridor.) Next day my wake up call never happened. Both of these are […] first time experiences for me when traveling and especially surprising for a hotel of this stature. Clock in room was off local time by 5-10 minutes. Hole in drapes. Building spotlight shines in room window until later in evening. I'd stay there again but would double check all service issues and room location. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
