The room was very accommodating for my few days stay, with a kitchenette and medium refrigerator. The pool area was relaxing and isolated, as you couldn't see most of the surrounding buildings. There is a school on one side of the building, which was entertaining, however, the bells and singing might be a bit much for some people, albeit fine for me. It was nice to have wi-fi as well, however you could only have 1 device at a time on the wi-fi (iPhone & iPad couldn't be used simultaneously) The main lobby personnel were friendly, helpful and polite. The location is across from a market, which offered many street food options as well as other food establishments. It is also located very close to the sky train, ~1-2 min walk from the driveway, which was a great mode of transportation and easy to follow. You will either want to take the train or cab to go shopping or to other locations for other activities, as there wasn't a lot to do in the immediate area. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Viva Gardens! I would recommend it for anyone, but see it more appropriate for people staying for a few days or more. Read more

Right next to the BTS Bang Chak station for easy commuting to most areas of BKK. You will pay a 15Baht premium from this station, but the price of the hotel makes it well worth the cost. If you are staying […] several days, get a BTS "Rabbit" card with 15 - 40+ trips and add a few hundred Baht to your "purse" to cover the extra toll and for a simple means to pay for some retail .purchases at select spots. We ordered from their room service menu a couple of nights and it was served hot, promptly and was quite good value for the money. although they advertise they are "pet friendly" and the website says "no additional pet fee" neither is true. We were asked to use the service elevator with our 7 pound hairless mexican. Now I could understand people being intimidated/upset if he was a 100 pound alaskan malamute. Then we got hammered with an additional $50 fee for having a pet. At least […] we got to keep the room. Stayed one night before an early a.m. airport departure... great hotel in an interesting, non-touristy location in Bangkok. It was advertised as an airport hotel but is a good 30-40 minutes from either airport in Bangkok. Otherwise, I would highly recommend for a longer stay... Beautiful rooms, pool, and restaurant.

The hotel is spotless. The staff is knowledgable and friendly. They helped us arrange (in Thai) a set fee for a cab ride so that we wouldn't be taken around for longer distances to up the fare. We were upgraded to a nicer room, and it was AMAZING. The hotel's outdoor pool area is beautiful.

This hotel is newer and had all the conveniences needed. It was clean and the doorman in particular was outstanding. We had some confusion with our reservation but the staff cleared it up expediciously and upgraded our room. My one complaint was the outdoor pool was cold, too cold to swim in even in the heat of the Thailand summer.

The staff are extremely courteous and helpful. This hotel is located less than 1 block from the electric tram that will take you almost anywhere in Bangkok. Very nice swimming pool. The mens and womens locker rooms both have saunas that are nice. The front desk staff and bell men are very helpful with any travel information you may need help with. My wife and I stayed in the VIVA GARDEN HOTEL and it was excellent in every way. The hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable with a full kitchens, quiet aircon, supe rcomfortable beds,wide screen TV, and a great pool to go to for a refreshing dip. Just as great as the accomodation is the very friendly, competent, professional staff. Kat, Ekk, Naphat, […] and Na were always there in the lobby to greet and assist every guest. They know their great city and country and are always ready to help the guests with any questions or concerns.Bangkok is a world class city full of interesting places to experience. The breakfast is also excellent, with both delicious Thai food and western dishes. But we strongly recommend a thai dish for breakfast, and you may not want to go back to bacon and eggs at home.Thai food is so delicious. I don't remember the names of the young lady and the two young men in the breakfast room., but they also are excellent and always ready to provide the best service. The Viva Garden Hotel location is very convenient to the SkyTrain just a short walk from the hotel, and then you are in easy reach of all the very interesting sites in Bangkok. The Thai market across the street is also very interesting and be sure and ask the staff to recommend the Thai massage across the street--a must for a real Thai experience.But most important are the Thai people at the front desk, Kat, Ekk, Naphat and Na, who are great representatives of their wonderful country Thailand, as well as the Viva Garden Hotel. My husband and I just stayed there for 2 nights, and we were really happy with the cleanliness and the size of our room. Hotel staff was friendly and sweet. It is really close to the skytrain station, so that's convenient, but the station itself is away from the center of the city. After a whole day of exploring in the city, we wanted to get in the […] cab and come back, but no taxi would take us back (they looked at us like "are you crazy? I am not going to drive all the way out there?!" So, we took the sky train back both days :) If you want to experience the local culture, however, it is awesome to just walk around the hotel. We did that one morning, getting delicious fruits (for 10B, and it's usually around 20B or more in the city) and getting the best massage ever for 100B right across the street. I was the only tourist there :) I would totally recommend this super clean hotel to anyone. This is a new hotel with amazing rooms: more like studio apartments than hotel rooms. Kitchen, dishes, fridge, electric kettle - everything is in the room. The hotel is far from the center but right off the Skytrain (Bang Chak station), so getting to the center is no problem at all. I had chosen two other hotels to stay at before I found this one outside of the main tourist areas of Bangkok. This hotels proximity to the Bang Chak BTS station made it ideal for getting around the city. The hotels driveway is only a few hundred feet away from the entrance to the train station. This was invaluable for not getting all hot and sticky […] from the Bangkok weather right off the bat each day. Although this is not in the nicest of neighborhoods, the BTS can take you anywhere. One station away is a Tesco Lotus that is open 24 hours a day, and that has a large asian food court. Terminal21 is the newest megamall at the Asok Station. A few more stations away is Siam and MBK. The easiest way to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho is take the BTS to Siam, change trains and then go to Saphin Taksin. from there you go downstairs and take the express boat to the Grand Palace. Fares on the BTS are 25-40 baht one way, depanding on how far you go. They do have a day pass for 120baht, but look at the fare grid first. I stayed for 8 days and only bought the day pass twice. Most of the trips I took were not at least 120 round trip. I chose the 1 bedroom executive suite. It had all the creature comforts, including a kitchen, separate bath and shower, generous wrap around balcony, and a washer dryer. One interesting thing was the remote control air conditioning units. My rate included breakfast, which was a very nice buffet. They had 5 chafers with various western and asian dishes that rotated each morning. They also had a various supply of the standard continental items. They also would make cooked to order eggs each morning. I never left hungry :) My only disappointment in the entire stay was the internet. Originally, the problem was due to my bedroom being too far from the access point. Once I moved to the dining table, it got better. Having said that, they internet still was not up to US standards. Excellent. Viva Garden serviced apartment is a recently built hotel / serviced apartments with cooking facilities and washing facilities. Nice Pool and small gym. Great value for clean, new rooms. Only down side is it is about 10 stops by skytrain form Siam central (about 20 minutes).

I do not think this hotel deserves the rating it has in tripadvisor... It is indeed very nice, but the location is not great for a short tourist visit. The hotel is really a serviced residence, and the mini apartment not rented long trm they offer as hotel. No room service after 2pm...? Helpful and friendly staff.

Booked my stay online for a studio room. These were fully occupied when I checked in so was upgraded free of charge for a much bigger room. Quite far from Siam but the BTS station is only a two minute walk away so this is no problem. Staff really friendly.
