Ma Hotel Bangkok

This hotel is OK for the price. I booked this hotel thru Hotel.com and I was promised a breakfast but it did not happen. This is neither a non-smoking facility nor has a complementary breakfast as it has advertised. DO NOT EVER HAVE A LUNCH THERE, IT'S COLD & HORRIBLE.

The overall price was good, but internet is a pay service here which was disappointing. Also, the staff constantly nags you about booking things for you such as other hotels if you are leaving Bangkok etc. It is one thing to offer this once, but not constantly. Had a pleasant stay, there are some considerations, like the distance from the nearest sky train was about 10-15min walk and in the humidity thats not great but taxis are cheap and plentiful to get you there or further, about 50 baht to the nearest sky train, so cheap! The area is a bit of a dead zone but stroll 5 mins under the over pass road and you […] get to a strip of decent places to eat, and some tailors from cheap to up market higher quality but still reasonably priced. Rooms were not entirely quiet at all times, you could hear the next room but I think my neighbours were particularly loud, but once you switch the air con on that noise faded out. Rooms were comfy, clean, and noise was minimal. Service was great, they really looked after you with everythiing you may need. For the money it was MUCH better then expected, infact the service was just as good if not better than many 4 ot 5 star hotels I have been to. Read more

We stayed at Ma Hotel February 2013. It was stated at the internet that the hotel had undergone a total renovation in 2012. This is true for part of the hotel and we stayed in a refurbished room. It was nice and clean but not as nice as in the pictures on display at their homepage! It is clear that the renovation has been done fast and with cheap materials […] - but as stated: nice and clean and with daily cleaning. Staff at the hotel were very, very nice and helpful - they made phone calls for us and printed several tickets and boarding passes that I forwarded to them. Es gibt nur einen Oberbegriff:Schmuddelig. Der Pool ist praktisch nicht vorhanden. Das Beste war das indische Essen zum Frühstück. 10m hinter den Zimmern rauscht der Highway. Leute, tut Euch das nicht an und greift lieber etwas tiefer in die Tasche.

Nach einer längeren Reise in denen ich in sehr einfachen Unterkünften übernachtete, wollte ich in Bangkok etwas mehr Komfort und buchte das Hotel. nettes Peronal nicht aufdringlich. Teppiche und Aufgänge etwas abgenutzt aber OK Frühstücksbuffet ein wenig mager, aber geniessbar Zimmer sauber, allerdings gibts keinen Ausblick aus den riesigen Fenstern. Minibar und so weiter alles vorhanden gewesen, alles in allem OK, aber kein Schnäppchen.

Hotellet ligger lite på sidan om cenrala delarna vilket passade mig bra, lugnt och skönt område. Fick bra kontakt med personalen som var mycket tillmötesgående!
