We had to move rooms in the first 20 minutes of our stay as the room had mould and had a damp musty smell , and had no bathroom bench for toiletries etc. once we moved rooms that was then satisfactory.

Stayed in baan laimai for 3 nights and overall it was a pleasant experience. Location was superb and pool was great. Rooms were pretty good for the price we paid for. Service on the other hand was rather lacking in some members of the reception as they were hostile when it came to stuff other than checking in and checking out.

I stayed at this hotel over New Years. I had booked the superior room for myself and boyfriend, and two other friends booked the deluxe seaview room (only difference was balcony). The superior room was simple and basic as expected. When booking the room I had requested a king bed, and in the 'special instruction' option I further specified a king-bed. […] Unfortunately when we arrived (at 10pm exhausted), we were shown to our room with two single beds as it was "the only room available" (I had booked six months ago). When I brought this to their attention, they advised housekeeping would move them together and change the sheets to make a King, though this didn't happen for two days. The air conditioning unit was faulty so sleeping was very unpleasant, making the room not worth the money we paid at all. The hotel is amazingly designed especially with the pool and restaurant, however the situation of the bar/restaurant (available to anyone on the street) was less than satisfactory. Every night there were performers on a stage until around 2am, which was probably 50m from our room as we were on the first floor, so sleep again was limited for the nights we were home early. We checked out, stayed at Phi Phi Island for a few nights and then checked back in for our last night and luckily, got an amazing new room on the fourth floor - much quieter, a working air conditioning and had its own rooftop garden and outdoor area - definitely worth the money, unfortunately only 1 night! Baan Laimai is very central, we were worried it would be noisy being close to Bangla Road, but it wasn't and we stayed here comfortably with an 8 month old baby, it was great being close to everything and walked almost everywhere, it is also across the road from the beach. They also supplied a cot. If you want a quiet room, ask for this to be located […] away from the lobby area where they have bands everynight, we could hardly hear the music from our room. Great hotel, everything you need. Good breakfast, fruit, pastries, eggs cooked fresh anyway you like. 2for1 cocktails at the pool bar, yum! Room cleaned daily, fresh towels and sheets changed. Friendly staff, band plays in the lobby at night, really great performers. All in all a great place we will be back and will recommend to our friends.

We had some trouble with the shower and air conditioning at the beginning of the trip. We had to switch rooms twice. But they up graded us to a nicer room with a view, which was nice. The worst experience at this hotel was trying to check in. All the staff appeared to be busy, but nothing seemed to get done. After 1 hour & 20 mins I was finally shown to my room, which was very spacious with a good sized balcony over looking the pool with ocean views. Hotel is being renovated (March 2012) so you have to ignore a few things but overall it is above middle of the road hotel standard....we have been to Patong 6 times and would recommend. The only thing that bugged us was the rock hard bed....however they put a mattress overlay on and this helped. We travelled with three other couples and we booked 4 pool access rooms for 8 nights. We spent hours in the huge pool everyday, which was beautifully maintained and clean. The poolside service was exceptional thanks to Marwin the waiter.He became a close friend to us. All waiter staff were very friendly and helpful. Our rooms were large, not great lighting […] for putting on make up, and the beds were rock hard. Did not always have hot water for showers but warm enough to get by. Breakfast was enjoyable, enough variety to get us through until our next meal. The hotel location is great, accross the road from the beach, aprox 15 min walk to Bangla Rd, and surrounded by markets. There is a band that plays at the front of the resort every night until 12.00pm.They did not keep us awake on the odd night we were in bed earlier.There is also new construction at the back of the hotel and it did not upset our stay at all. Be warned to keep your own glasses and cups in your own room, as one couple got charged AUD$8.00 for a cup she left in another room. I would consider staying there again, but we are the type of people who like to try different places each time. Read more

The hotel overall was very nice and you get what you pay for. The king size bed was 2 single beds pushed together and it wasn't that comfortable, it was also noisy! Location was excellent, basically right across the road from the beach, however it was about a 10minute walk to Bangla Rd (if that's your thing). Staff were friendly and helpful, pool was excellent (although had a rank smell on one side). Breakfast was great and they had a guest computer to use in the lobby as well. Money exchange right outside the […] resort as well, with good rates (and not the usual rip off ones you find at the places IN a hotel). The main drawback was that our room was outside of the wifi area so we couldnt get a signal which was annoying when you just want to chill in the air conditioned room. The other thing was the aircon would turn off when you leave the room so you'd come back to a hot & stuffy room which is the last thing you want after walking around outside. I'd definitely stay here again if i went back to phuket, and would recommend it to any of my mates. I'd rate it higher than a 'supposed' 4 star i stayed at elsewhere. Read more

プーケットは5回目ですが今回初めてバーンライマイを利用しました。色々な口コミを見るとあまり評価が良くなかったので不安もありましたが全く問題なく過ごせましたよ。 まず、シャワーなどが水しか出てこないとありましたが私の宿泊した部屋は問題ありませんでした。ビーチタオルなどが補充されてないということもありませんでしたし、スタッフの方もとても気さくに話しかけてきてくれました。部屋に関してはバルコニーがない部屋もあるようだったのでデラックスにしましたが一応バルコニーと景色のいい部屋をリクエストしましたのでこれも問題なしです。深夜までライブの音がうるさいという点についてはここのホテルはパトンビーチ沿いにありますし、このならびのホテルは大体深夜0時近くまでライブをやっているので気になるなら別のホテルにするべ […] きですね。 といっても、バルコニーの扉をしめていれば大丈夫だとおもいます。朝食は今まで宿泊したホテルに比べると種類は少ない気もしました。立地も良くバングラ通りまでは5分ー10分でしょうか。こちらの方はみんなのんびりしているので日本と同じようなサービスを求めたら楽しめないと思います。多少のことはマイペンライですね。 Read more
