Hotel is OK. Service is friendly. Breakfast is adequate. Location is not bad, only a short walk from the Jungceylon shopping mall, Patong beach front, and all the restaurants and shops. Pool is narrow but kind of cute. Neighborhood is a bit like a construction zone, so hopefully, when the neighboring building are finished, it'd be more pleasant. But […] the short distance is best negotiated with a car to get out. Taxis charge outrageous prices to take you on a 5 min ride. The main road outside has no sidewalk and road full of potholes so that it is quite hazardous walk to and from the various destinations. "Terrible...Terrible...Terrible..."
Would not recommend to anybody. Had a pleasant stay....but out of all the places in Thailand we have been this was the worst. Breakfast was cold everyday, staff seemed like they didnt care. "4 star - NO WAY"
The photos are falsley impressive. The staff are not friendly - maybe language barrier. The housekeeping is very bad - on check in we found coffee or something similar had been spilt all over a wall & by day 4 it was still there.We also had over 50 silver fish cacoons in our room (to their credit- when I showed them & explained they ordered a pest inspection) […] this had to be done as every floor had a major problem. I do feel it is due to no modern appliances like we use in Aus. No vaccum cleaner, no fresh water to mop each room they use the 1 bucket & old worn out old mop. To wipe tables in the restuarant they use the same wet cloth to wipe everything & the leftovers just get pushed onto the floor. The floors were a mess... It advertises an iron/ironing board available - they dont have one. Spa pool - NO, 2 pools - NO only 1, Courtesy shuttle - this only goes every 2hrs. 3 times they called guests to the front desk & in full view of the public showed dirty sheets or dirty towels that they wanted guests to pay for putting dirty marks on. We got accused of taking a bath robe which was not in the room on check in.This accusation was made in front of other guests, so I opened our cases & showed them we did not take it. The hotel is too dirty- cockroaches/mozzies/silverfish had been squashed on the wall & left there ????? Quite a dissappointing place to stay - definately not a 4star !! Breakfast was horrible (served fried fish, spaghetti, colsaw, mashed potato. not real breakfast foods). Foxtel was mainly in Thai (only 4 channels were in english). The hotel itself isn't too bad but the linen is shocking for a supposedly two year old hotel. It seems to attract a lot of yobbos and the outlook from our pool access room was not good. We had 9 days at the hotel with noisy workings going on next door and had to request to be moved - this, of course, was not the fault of the hotel. There is no way this hotel could be rated four stars. Staff not freindly, shower curtain fell twice, the power points in the room would not work sometimes and the room was dark as some lights were not working. It was a tiny room for 3 people. "Andakirahotel in unübersichtlicher Seitenstraße von Patong"
Kaum eine der Beschreibungen des 4-Sterne-Hotels !!!!! stimmt. Das Foto verfälscht völlig und ist wohl von einem Hochhaus gegenüber aufgenommen. Das kostenlose und bewachte Parken bezieht sich auf die Straßen rundherum. Nur gegen erhebliches Bakschisch und Druck gelang es uns, unser Mietauto in der winzigen Tiefgarage zu parken - auf einem Mitarbeiterparkplatz. Das […] Hotel ist eher kasernenhaft schlicht, das Zimmer einfach. Eine trübe, miese Beleuchtung, eine schwache Nachttischlampe für zwei Betten. Spartanisch das Schrankangebot. Die Balkonmöbel aus billiger Plastik und vergammelt. Statt versprochenem Plasmafernseher mit Satellitenanschluss ein uralter Röhrenfernseher mit einem Thaiprogramm. Die Bettwäsche z.T. löchrig. Trotz täglicher Trinkgelder bleibt der Boden nur schlecht gewischt. Das im Hotel angebotene Wellnessprogramm - ein wichtiger Grund für unsere Buchung - gibt es nicht, statt dessen wird auf eine fragwürdige Einrichtung einige Blocks weiter verwiesen. Auf die Mängel angesprochen wird mit Schulterzucken reagiert, im Internet stünde viel. Die Pools sind so stark gechlort, dass in den 3 Wochen Aufenthalt kaum ein Badender zu sichten war. Das angekündigte Willkommensgeschenk bleibt aus. Positiv das reichhaltige Frühstück und das meist freundliche Personal am Empfang sowie der funktionierende Zimmersafe. "Das Andakira Hotel kann ich niemandem empfehlen !!! Auch bei noch soviel Nachlässen!"
Dieses Hotel kann ich niemandem mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen. Der Check in verlief schlecht, Zimmer noch nicht fertig, kein Umkleideraum und vertröstet auf 3 Stunden später. Anschließend Einquartierung in ein Zimmer welches direkt zur Lobby geöffnet war, dadurch und durch viel zu dünne Türen nächtliche Ruhestörungen. Beschreibung lautete in kurzer Entfernung […] zum Strand und direkt am Nachtleben. Stimmte nicht direkt, Verbringung zum Strand nur mit Taxi oder per nicht immer verfügbarem Shuttlebus des Hotels. Ansonsten 10-15 Min. bis zum Nachtleben und ca. 20 Min. bis zur Strandpromenade bei 30-34 C nur im verschwitzten Zustand per Fuß erreichbar. Keine Reiseleitung vorort! Nach Reklamationen wurde ein anderes, höher gelegenes Zimmer zugeteilt. Dort ruhiger! Mangelhafter Reinigungsservice, Duschen nur im Sitzen möglich. Versprechungen der Hotelleitung wurden nach Tausch des Zimmers nicht eingehalten usw. usw. Der Urlaubsort ist sehr schön, jedoch im Zuge eines guten Erholungsurlaubes gebe ich die Empfehlung ein Hotel zu wählen welches in Strandnähe liegt im 4 Sterne Bereich. Dieses auf keinen Fall!!!
