Only 3 km south of Patong, this beach is famed for its five-kilometre long white beach sand that squeaks under your feet. This hotel is not on the beach. They tell you it is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, but it is really 15- they offer a shuttle every hour. Of additional note is the fact that is hotel is really a camping experience. At first glance it seems like a beautiful room, surrounded by water in an environment that is authentic and Thai. Don't get me wrong, the […] place is *fine*, but you are really outside (e.g., must keep lights off and avoid keeping food in the room so as not to attract bugs, we found a cockroach the first night on the floor, etc.). Also, the beautiful looking water surrounding the room was really a pool of still water which made me wonder when the last time it was cleaned (certainly no fish in that water). All in all- cute place, they offer a computer in room, but don't be fooled, compare this price to other resorts in the area and its clear you really do get what you pay for. Great ambience and design. Room was small but very neat and real nice. Unfortunately, room service sucks. All the Thai food smells and even the continental food was very poor. The morning buffet was good but when you ask for omelette with green chillies, they don't understand green chillies and make the omelette partially cooked. They gave us the room […] 1 hour late for check-in and took the room 1 hour early for check-out while categorically stating "sorry for inconvenience". Service at the pool closes at 7pm - sigh! "Nice Hotel but the room was too Cosy for Us"
The hotel had a nice feeling about it and the staff were great. The room we had wasn't the biggest we've had in all the hotels we've stayed in, quite small for us to be honest, I like a bit of room where I can put the suitcase on the floor and not trip over it every 2 minutes or constantly moving bags around to get to the cupboard or fridge. The mosquito […] netting was annoying while watching TV on the bed but its there for a reason so didn't want to pull it back. The location is good, 15-20 minute walk to the beach but there is a shuttle bus every hour so that was good.
