    Staying here was very nice. We came in by train, and the hotel is literally next door to the station. The area is very nice and convenient to Gamla Stan... and the city hall as well. Tour-busses (all lines of hte hop-on hop-off) come next-door at the train station, making it an excellent location as a hub for sight-seeing. It is close to Sergels Torg which is a great shopping area, and also only two blocks from the Stockholm Ice Bar, which was awesome. The room's decor is rather dated, but very well kept, so there are no complaints there. The lobby is very nice and modern, and the SkyBar (top floor) is very cool with some good views of the surrounding city. We had breakfast included with our room, and the spread was great. There were all sorts of foods, from about 12 kinds of yogurt to a full bread selection, bacon and eggs, cottage cheese, and lunch meats and cheeses. Very nice, and very well stocked.     Overview

    Location.
    The Radisson Blu Royal Viking Hotel is a contemporary building sited adjacent to Central Station, 400 metres from the old town. Stockholm Arlanda Airport is 45 kilometres from the hotel.

    Hotel Features.
    The gift emporium, Galleries 2, is stocked with coloured glass, jewellery and other decorative souvenirs. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available throughout the hotel. There are 13 meeting rooms, the largest of which can hold up to 150 people, while the business centre offers three workstations with printers, a flat-panel television and a supply of fresh fruit.

    An illuminated glass 'river' threads its way though the Royal Viking Hotel's restaurant, which specialises in locally caught fish and shellfish, while the SkyBar offers cocktails and top-floor views of the islands of Gamla Stan and Södermalm. A buffet breakfast is served in the breakfast room (surcharge).

    The Kungsträdgården park on Norrmalm, 400 metres away, offers opportunities for outdoor ice skating during the winter months. Cyclists will find an abundance of cycle paths threading through the city, and joggers can follow the canal-side paths on the island of Kungsholmen. Garage and valet parking are available (surcharge).

    Guestrooms.
    The hotel features 459 air-conditioned guestrooms spread over nine floors, all of which offer views of the city or of the inner mezzanine floor. All feature oak furniture, including corner units, bedside tables and desks; wardrobes and headboards are decorated with carved Viking motifs. Amenities include 21-inch TVs with satellite channels, complimentary wireless Internet and complimentary TV Internet access, minibars, and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathrooms feature marble-effect counter tops and chrome fittings, and come with hair dryers and complimentary toiletries. Rollaway beds are available (surcharge), as well as connecting/adjoining rooms. Children under 12 stay free when using existing bedding.

    Hotel is located no more than 1 minute walk from the main station. Lobby area is nicely decorated. Originally had an old style room which was dark and depressing. Changed this for a more updated room which had nice furniture and bathroom. The room was quiet. Very small thou. Fine if you have a small case for a weekend break but nothing bigger. Friends […] were staying on level 5 and the rooms they were in were a disgrace. Half of the floor was being refurbished and all you could smell was a sewage like smell. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Read more

    Friendly at the reception, but not particularly knowledgeable. They didn'r know, for example, that the transfer bus from central Stockholm to the Silja and Tallink ferries leaves from a spot less than a block from their door.

    Yes the hotel was okay, the beds were fantastic. but there is no way I would say this hotel should be a five star hotel. some of the bed sheets were not 100% clean the shower doors was not clean. if you ask me if I go there again I would say perhaps I will try others. Thanks,

    Ligger 1 min unna sentralstasjonen. Flotte rom å hyggelig betjening. Kort vei til gamla stan. Jensens bøfhus ligger rett over gaten, og har fantastisk gode biffer. Anbefales!!

    synes godt om hotelet, de var meget søde og hjælpsomme var hele tiden service, værelserne var vildt flotte og meget luksuriøse, vil helt sikker kommer igen. det eneste der var baren som ikke laver de bedste drinks

    Ett storhotell när det är som bäst - perfekt läge för oss resenärer med närheten till flygbuss/tåg/pendel/t-bana och bra service med rent och litet men mycket fräscht rum inkl toa med dusch. Bor här nästa gång också!

    Bra service på hotellet med trevlig personal, rent och städat. Vi fick ett stort rum. Har bott tidigare på hotellet då har rummen ibland varit ganska små. Rekommenderar detta hotell. Dessutom är läget mycket bra då hotellet ligger precis vid centralstationen.

    Min hotellvistelse var bra! Hotellet ligger vädligt bra i Stockholm och känns tryggt och säkert att bo på, de har koll med säkerhetsvakter osv och att lämna väskan i deras bagagerum känns säkrare än att dra den själv på stan. Det är väldigt säkert vilket jag uppskattar.

    Att hotellet reserverar 250 kr för eventuell användning av minibar, trots att jag vet att jag inte kommer att använda mig av den. Tvärt emot vad personalen säger så släpps inte reservationen när man checkar ut, det kan ta upp till tio dagar! Om det är problem med springnotor: lös det på annat sätt!

    Vi hade det underbart i Sthlm. Det enda som var dåligt var servicen från hotellpersonalen, förrutom dom i receptionen. Sov som kungar och drottningar. Rent och fint. Jag kommer komma tillbaka!

    Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral um zu Fuß viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war geräumig, das Bad jedoch aus den 70 er Jahren. Frühstück war reichhaltig, frisch und qualitativ gut. Der Fitness- und Saunabereich dagegen die reinste Katastrophe, was wir bisher noch nicht erlebt hatten und uns von einem Radisson-Hotel hätten nicht vorstellen […] können. Alles was wir diesbezüglich an negativer Beurteilung gelesen hatten traf absolut zu. im Winter, wo man gerne mal in der Sauna entspannt, würden wir dieses Hotel nie wieder buchen. Read more

    Grymt bra ! Var på Friends Arena och tittade på Sverige-England.reste med tåg till Stockholm så då är det perfekt med ett hotell nära centralen.Vi skulle ju även ta pendeltåget till Arenan.
