The main administrative and shopping district, Bur Dubai contains some of Dubai's oldest buildings. Bastakiya is a carefully restored 'heritage quarter' of narrow alleys and courtyard houses cooled by wind-towers. Sheikh Maktoum's House (now a museum) is a fine example of 19th-century Arabian architecture. Very Poor Reception Area (congested and less Air volume). Design of room is very specious and perfect. Electric water jug/boiler is given but funny that no plug is in reachable distance. The check in was as unwelcoming as it gets. Felt like we were not expected. The hotel was super crowded and couldn't even use the lifts. We enjoyed our stay at Dubai...the Hotel is decent and is located conveniently between 2 metro stations. Close to Burjuman mall, Spinneys. If you are a foodie...there are immense options around the […] Hotel area - mostly Indian food places - Sukh Sagar, 56 Bhog, Puranmal, Mumbai chaat place, there is another small joint which has great Biryani and kebabs. About the Hotel - rooms are clean, big and good, comfortable bed, wifi in the room. The only small feedback to teh Hotel would be to increase their food options. We also liked their roof top pool...on our last day after all the sight seeing, shopping, we just chilled out at the roof top pool with a drink. Did not expect to enjoy so much in Dubai...but had a good time there - Fountain show near Burj Khalifa, At the TOP on Burj Khalifa, All the malls - Dubai Mall, Mall of Emirates, Ibn Batuta.., going around to Deira side to see Gold Souk, Spice Souk on an ABRA, Desert Safari was amazing too... Spent valentines day here.Stayed on the executive floor. it was just wonderful. The view from the Kris kin bar was breath taking. Food was wonderful so many complementary services i couldn't believe it.The pool on the roof was just a special experience. Don't think i want to try any where else if i can help it. Great and friendly staff. concierge service was phenomenal. we went over xmas and new years so they were megga busy. The hotel is close to Al Karam station great to get around dubai. "Great hotel overall"
The hotel is situated in a very convenient location only 5-10 min walk from the Burjuman shopping centre and the metro station and there are a number of restaurants within a very short walk from the hotel. Check in was stressful. I had booked a deluxe kingsize room but when I checked in they tried to tell me there were no deluxe kingsize rooms left […] and offered me a superior twin room on a lower floor. As I was aware from other reviews that they had tried this with previous travellers, I refused to accept the cheaper alternative. After ten minutes they found a room and decided to 'upgrade' me to the deluxe room I had already paid for anyway ! The deluxe room was very spacious and plush, really comfortable bed and a very spacious bathroom with both a bathtub with shower plus additional walk in shower. During my stay the sound on my tv stopped working. I made two trips to reception and on each occasion was told someone would be up straightaway to look at it, and finally got my brother who was staying in another room on the same floor to ring reception for me before the promised maintenance engineer finally appeared and fixed it- disappointing service in an otherwise comfortable hotel. The rooftop pool area is lovely, stunning view of the city, nice during the day with friendly and attentive staff, and it converts to an atmospheric bar area on some nights with free margaritas for ladies- delicious. Hotelli sijaitsee kahden metroaseman välissä, molempiin noin 10 minuutin kävelymatka. Lentoasemalle noin vartin matka, joka taksilla maksoi 17 dirhamia eli noin 4 euroa. Vastapäätä on Burjuman-kauppakeskus ja lähistöllä paljon ravintoloita. Huoneet ovat siistejä ja tilavia. Sänky mukavan napakka ja petivaatteet hyviä. Erillinen suihku ja amme, ammeen […] yllä pyykkinaru. Turn down -palvelu. Neljä pulloa vettä päivässä kuuluu huonehintaan. 13. kerros on kokonaan savuton. Kattoterassi on oikein mukava, mutta pienehkö - täyttyy nopeasti. Allaspojat kuitenkin erittäin asiakaspalveluhenkisiä ja ripeitä. Hotellissa on useampikin ravintola, mutta testasin ylimmän kerroksen ravintolan tiistaisen sushibuffetin. Hyvä oli ja näköalat huikeat. Palvelu kaikkialla hyvää, ainoastaan shuttle service vaatisi hieman kehittämistä: aikataulua ei ole näkyvillä, pitää kysyä erikseen ja bussi jättää esim. Dubai Mallille mentäessä tien toiselle puolelle parkkikentälle, ei vie sisäänkäynnin luo. Dubaissa se on vähän ongelma, kun etäisyydet ovat pitkät ja jalankulkijoiden sisäänkäynnit vähissä.
