On the north side of Dubai Creek, Deira is an interface between the high-rise business city and the traditional Arab trading port. Modern malls give way to ancient souks selling silks, spices, gold, perfumes, and a lively fish market. A broad waterfront promenade leads past the dhow wharf, where the wooden vessels offload their cargos. Beyond lie the dhow boat-building yards, and Dubai Creek’s ritzy golf and yacht club.

Staff is friendly enough - if a bit too inquisitive. Towels were missing, and it took very long to get them. The breakfast buffet was disappointing. The orange juice had turned to water, and the coffee wasn't replaced for a long time. Location is good if you have work/ interest in the Deira area, but the management felt amateurish.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Relatively colose to the airport"
When we arrived late morning, there was no hot water to take a shower. Next day, to catch our plane we hat to check out early around 6 am. Unfortunately the hot water service had not been restored.. At the full rate we paid, we had expected better accommodations.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Two days in Dubai"
Overall the staff, location and pricing for the City Seasons hotel were acceptable. However, there were two problems that will cause me to book elsewhere nex time. The first problem has to do with the availablity of hot water. In order to take a shower the water must run on full hot, full output for almost 5 minutes before the hot water reaches the […] faucet. I feel that this is both a waste of water and my time standing around waiting for my shower. The second problem was the mini-bar. When I opened the mini-bar I found that the refridgerator was not working and that the mini-bar had mold and other organic growth in it. When I pointed this out to the management all that was done was that the min-bar was cleaned. It still did not work. I found this unacceptable. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Disappointing hotel."
The buffet wasn't very good, the restaurant wasn't available, the pool is much smaller than it appears on the website. The hotel tried to charge me for fresh milk for tea/coffee in my room as I don't like evaporated milk. The room service breakfast was incomplete and the pastries were stale. After some argument the hotel agreed not to charge me for […] the milk or the breakfast. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
