"The palace old town - good place to stay"

"The Palace The Old Town Hotel in Dubai"
We arrived at 7pm. It took us over 45 minutes to check in. They upgraded my room which was an upgrade to make up for the tardiness, the suite was dirty. The bathrooms were messy with dirty robes. I complained to reception, they promissed to clean but I had to run out for business dinner. Unfortunately, after 4 hour dinner, the room was still messy, […] no one cleaned anything and the TV did not work. I called again and they asked if they can send house keeping, butit was almost 1am and I needed to wake up early for meetings and check out. I complained to management which offered an upgrade for next trip. I was actually booked to return for two nights with several coleagues within 10 days fom March's stay. Location wise, the Palace is the best. It's near the souq, Dubai Mall and the business district. The fountains are amazing eventhough I had lived there for 5 years. I would definitely return. I have read other people reviews on the Trip Advisor, some complaining about hotel staff, so I was a little bit apprehensive booking this facility. I had no reason to fear. Everyone was polite, helpful and professional. We have arrived very early in a morning, but there was no problem in getting checked in. Très bel hotel avec une touche de charme oriental. De par sa situation proche de Khalifa Tower et Dubai mall, je le conseillerais tout particulièrement aux businessman/woman accompagnés de leur conjoint(e).
