Built on two floors and surrounded by 38 acres of landscaped gardens, Le Meridien Dubai offers luxurious accommodations in Dubai, a port city in the United Arab Emirates on the Persian Gulf. Called the "Hong Kong" of the Middle East, Dubai has developed a strong economic base beyond oil, including service industries such as IT and financial services and tourism. Le Meridien Dubai is three kilometers from the city center shopping mall and the PGA-rated golf course. The Dubai International Airport is a five-minute drive, and a shuttle service (surcharge) is available.
Hotel Features.
Le Meridien features the Natural Elements Spa and Fitness Center, which provides over 50 treatments, and includes a full fitness center overlooking the hotel's gardens and three pools. A hair and nail salon are available, as well as a boutique where Pevonia products are sold. The fitness center includes personal trainers and nutritional consultants, along with a full series of classes such as yoga and boxing. Guests can also use the full-sized, floodlit tennis courts. The hotel includes a choice of 18 restaurants and bar, including: Antigo, serving daily buffets with special themed nights; Long Yin, featuring Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine; Café Chic, offering light French cuisine using fresh produce; Al Mijana, serving Lebanese cuisine and providing evening entertainment; Casa Mia, offering Italian food and an extensive wine list; and The Dubliners, an Irish pub showing televised live sporting events. Le Meridien also provides extensive conference and banqueting facilities, which can accommodate from 10 to 1200 people.

Elegantly furnished with a French accent, the hotel features 383 stylish guestrooms including 19 suites. Guestrooms are decorated with rich colors and fabrics, and have fresh fruit, bathrobes and slippers. Seafood Market - Large wood-decked restaurant with freshwater fish tanks lining one wall. Open for lunch and dinner. Small private function area for 10 people available on request.
Gourmandises - Small café located within the lobby area. Serves snacks, pastries, cakes, coffee and tea. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Sukhothai - Authentic South Asian dishes served in tranquil wood and green Thai-inspired surroundings. Open for lunch and dinner.
Warehouse - A combination of 4 bars, 2 restaurants, a sushi bar, a grape cellar, and a garden seating area. Specializes in cocktails.
Long Yin - Cantonese and Szechuan à la carte dishes served in modern surroundings. Open for lunch and dinner.
Dubliners - Home-cooked Irish pub dishes and international beers served in this Irish themed sports bar which features large TV screens for sports events, and a dance floor. Also hosts karaoke nights. Open from noon until late.
Al Mijana - Traditional Lebanese dishes and grilled meats served in Arabic- style surroundings. Open for lunch and dinner. Regular live evening entertainment such as oud players and belly dancers.
Meridien Village Terrace - Overlooking the landscaped garden and pool area, this white terrace and patio area offers al fresco barbecue dining. Open for dinner only. Vegetarian options available.
Café Chic - French-inspired café with small round tables, chairs. Serves light French cuisine for lunch and dinner.
Beef Bistro - American diner serving prime cuts of meat with vegetarian options available. Open for lunch Saturday to Thursday, and for dinner daily.
Casa Mia - Light, airy restaurant serving Italian à la carte dishes, wood-fired pizzas, desserts and a selection of Italian wines. Open for lunch and dinner.
Kiku - Decorated in heavy wood and adorned with lush greenery, this authentic Japanese restaurant features a Teppanyaki table and private Tatami room and serves Japanese dishes including Sushi, Sashimi and Saki. Open for lunch and dinner.
Pool Bar - Situated opposite the outdoor swimming pools with patio style tables and chairs, serving beers, juices, and soft drink alongside a selection of sweet and savoury snacks.
Jules Bar - Nightclub featuring live music every night from the resident house bands. Serves typical Mexican dishes throughout the day. Open from noon until late.
Pearl Bar - Modern, low-lit bar with soothing music situated in the lobby. Serves drinks, cocktails snacks and cigars all day.
The fitness centre overlooks the landscaped gardens has a cardiovascular studio with Nautilus equipment, a free-weights room, stretch and abdominal zone, circuit training studio, and personal training studio with qualified personal trainers and nutritionist consultants. Group classes include power training, aerobics, step aerobics, spin, boxing, and yoga. There are also three floodlit tennis courts.

On the north side of Dubai Creek, Deira is an interface between the high-rise business city and the traditional Arab trading port. Modern malls give way to ancient souks selling silks, spices, gold, perfumes, and a lively fish market. A broad waterfront promenade leads past the dhow wharf, where the wooden vessels offload their cargos. Beyond lie the dhow boat-building yards, and Dubai Creek’s ritzy golf and yacht club.

"Good only if you intend to book a premium room"
Stayed at this hotel in January 2011 and unlike my previous stay (6 years ago), this stay was a total disappointment. I paid a serious rate (in off-peak season) to find myself in a dated 'classic' room with old furniture, chairs so worn out that they put covers on them, and a very small bathroom with mold. There was an iron and ironing board pinned […] to the wall right in the middle of the room which is almost unheard of in Dubai, at least for a hotel that claims such high star rating. As a previous reviewer mentioned, the room definitely had a motel feel to it which doesn't go with the rate. So, unless you're willing to pay for a premium room, don't even bother staying here. I know I'll go back to Bustan Rotana, right next door, where there's enough comfort and luxury regardless of which room category you book. Le Meridien, never again. "Faded glory, welcome to 1988"
We stayed here for 3 nights in August 2010. It is a strange place. Don't be fooled by the photo and the description of the 38 acres of gardens. The place is right on a main road by the airport and the restaurants in a concrete jungle outside. Rooms are drab and dated although not uncomfortable. The Royal Club Lounge is pleasant and the service good […] but there is more atmosphere on the Moon. On arrival we had a big problem with the fact I only had a debit and not a credit card. They insisted on taking a deposit for extras, I insisted I would not need any extras, we ended up agreeing I would pay in cash but then they spent the first 2 hours of our stay trying to enter the room to cut off the phone to outside calls and remove the mini bar - not what you needed after a long trip from London! I am sure this hotel is OK if you are stopping over for 1 night in Dubai and need somewhere close to the airport for convenience, but that's about it. "Wouldnt stay here again"
Though we received a Royal Club room which had been fully renovated and was indeed 5stars, the lobby area of the hotel was like a scene out of the 70s. I didnt like it at all. We tried to enjoy the pool but saw some guest spitting and sneezing (without covering their noses) and promptly left in disgust. We only stayed one night. "Overbearing Guest Interaction policy"
I have stayed at Le Meridien many times in the past, but my latest visit was not satisfactory. After studying reviews I was convinced to pay extra to upgrade to a Deluxe room because I needed to complete urgent written work, and wanted a comfortable, quiet and and private environment to do this. However, I was subject by a constant flow of interruptions […] as follows: . phone call to confirm room service had arrived. Aren't they trusted? . staff rang the doorbell several times during the day to 'check the room'. In two occasions they entered despite shouts not to do so. . staff rang the bell in the morning and were trying to enter the room, despite a specific request not to haave a wake up call. . staff consistently walked beside the window, which is next to the main road and means the room has little privacy. Also, the coffee machine flooded on the morning of check out. All in all, I felt that the constant interruption and confirmation was entirely unnecessary, and in the end became very annoying as I was not able to concentrate on work. The Deluxe room was certainly not 'serene' - the word used by the hotel in their advertising. In fairness staff were always courteous, and were clearly acting only according to instructions and policy. However, my view is that this stay was very poor value for my money, and I will need to find somewhere with a more refined guest interaction policy during future stays in Dubai.
