On the north side of Dubai Creek, Deira is an interface between the high-rise business city and the traditional Arab trading port. Overall this hotel is good. It's quiet. The breakfast was great. The staff were okay, depending on whom you deal with. It is located in the "old city" so if you want to visit those famous sightseeing sites you need a car. Looked on the internet for a bed during a 10 hour stop-over during a 30 hour flight. Venice to Auckland. It was so clean and comfortable I wished I had been staying longer and would definitely stay again. Bathrom was extremely clean and with every amenity you need for a stop over with minimal baggage. "Very bad customer service"
I arrived 2 hours earlier then check-in time and when I asked how long it would be until I check-in, they did not know. I had to ask 5 times, until I just fell asleep in the lobby on the couch. As well, no one picked me up at the airport, it stated on Expedia free shuttle and they said I needed to book a higher level of accommodation in order to get […] the free shuttle service from the airport. Stadthotel im Ortsteil Deira mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. In unmittelbarer Umgebung vom intern. Flughafen. Metrostation "AL Riga" nur 400 Meter entfernt. (Deira City Center nur 1 Station entfernt) Kostenloser täglicher Shuttlebus zum Schwesterhotel am Strand (Coral Beach, ca. 20min) Abfahrt 10:00 Uhr und Abholung 14:00. Man muss sich mind. 1 […] Tag vorher anmelden. Auch ein eigener kleiner Pool auf dem Dach ist vorhanden. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet (LCD-TV, Internet, Couch, Safe...) Internet (LAN) ist inklusive. Man bekommt Gratis Codes die jeweils immer eine Stunde gültig sind. Ich hatte für jeden Tag einen erhalten aber denke, dass man auch mehr bekommen kann. Achtung! Ich hatte eine Rate inkl. Frühstück gebucht (Voucher), aber das Hotel hatte darauf bestanden, dass ich mein Frühstück extra bezahlen muss (65 DH!!!) Kurzes Mail an Expedia und die hatten mir sofort bestätigt, dass meine Rate inkl. Frühstück ist und wenn sich das Hotel weiterhin verweigert soll ich die Rechnung bezahlen und bekomme anschließend den Betrag erstattet. Das hat auch super und unkompliziert funktioniert!!! Gegenüber dem Hotel befindet sich ein kleiner Supermarkt bei dem man sich sehr günstig mit z.B. Getränken versorgen kann. In rustige omgeving, van alle gemakken voorzien met goede aandacht en verzorging. Behoorlijk geluidsdicht en lekker koel: een verademing na uit de enorme zomerhitte gekomen te zijn. Reizen is nagenoeg probleemloos! Metro op 2 straten afstand- hiermee kom je overal; taxi's altijd in de buurt. Supermarkten, restaurantjes dichtbij. Tijdens je verblijf […] heb je alles wat nodig is: een ontbijt is aan te bevelen: zeer uitgebreid; fitness; zwembad op dak (+ uitzicht). Als je jezelf ervoor open stelt, heb je snel contact, zij het meestal met de buitenlandse werknemers (veel Indiers) en minder met de arabieren. In de stad is genoeg te beleven: metrorit is schoon, goedkoop en efficient; diverse grote spectaculaire shoppingmalls; mooie parken (meer voor de winterperiode); hoogste toren (Burj Kalifa); strand (je kunt gratis gebruik maken van het strandhotel- wel wat afgelegen, maar heeft een heerlijk koel buitenzwembad).
