"Great hotel for students on a small budget."
Althought we booked the room for 4 adults staying 1 night when we arrrived there were only 3 towels and no soap in the bathroom. I asked for an ironing board and a coffee maker, when we returning late that night neither were in tlhe room, asked the second time for an ironing board only to receive a broken one with a large hole burnt in the cover. The staff at the front desk could use some training, they seem to not know anything about customer service or how to complete a reservation. No reason that a desk should arrive from a long flight and wait to get check in at the front desk for more than 30 min, the average time for most guest, from what I observed. A excellent hotel location, near the shopping and tourist sites, reception downstairs is pretty wide and well maintained, but the hallways are leaking in repair process, the rooms are terrible, old furniture and bad maintained, should be replaced immediately, the bathroom old and deteriorated, the mezzanine is the pool, which is average, nothing special, […] good restaurant with nothing special to note, the Casino is one of the things that draws attention is lousy, the floor is damaged and deteriorated, the furniture is ugly, the urgent need remodeling. "Supposedly Under Renovation"
The best thing about the hotel is it's location. It is within walking distance to shopping and dining and a short drive to various beaches. I stayed on the fifth floor and there was a sign stating that the hotel was under going renovations, but I never saw any work being performed. I was not satisfied with this hotel. It is gorgeous on the outside, but the inside needs work. Was in a great locations. Smoking was allowed in the hallways, and by hotel rooms. Refrigerator stopped working and spoiled my food. There was a cockroach on the shower drape while I was taking a shower. The floors were all wet due to poor ventilation system. […] Very dirty. Dear sir, mdme, I have spent the days in The Plaza Hotel Curacao and Casino for 9 nioghts however: 1.The rooms are very bad and the service is below level. 2.The employees at the front desk are not interested and do very few to satisfy the customer. 3.There is no feed back from the room cleaners and maintenance dept. to the complaints given to the frontdesk […] emplyees. 4.I have changed the first given room due the fact that the telephone was not working, the batroom shower was continouesly leaking and making a noice in the bathroom. 5.After four days they have cleaned my room for new towels and other bed supplies. 6.The bathing tub is very old and the first cover is losing and obstruct he water to go through. 7.YHE MAIN LOBBY IS FULL OF MOSQUITOS AND IF YOU ARE AWITING FOR YOU TURN YOU WILL BE BEATEN WITH ALL CONSEQUENCES OF IT. 8.SORRY I WILL NEVER BOOK THIS HOTEL ANYMORE. "Plaza Hotel Curacao - Needs serious renovation"
Had prepaid 3 Junior Suites, none available. Ended up in 3 standard rooms, ours needed a/c maintenance, but never came. Rooms and bathroom are dirty. Front desk staff needs customer service training. "Dissapointed"
My checked in at 9:00 am, knowing the check-in time was 14:00. The reason she did this was to leave our luggage behind so she could go to the shops without. However when she returned at 15:00, tired from the flight and shopping, she was told that there was no room available. An hour later there was a room available. The light in the bathroom was out […] of order and wanted to send somebody for repair. She didn't want that while she would be alone, and was transferred to another room. The parking place that is offered wasn't available. I had to park the car outside the parking lots. This room wasn't clean at all. there were black hairs on the floor of the room and the bathroom. Under the bed there was a blanket of grey dust. The bed sheets were clean and was comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast in the morning was very good. Fresh and a lot of variety. "Old looking, bad service"
The hotel needs a full renovation. The pictures do not reflect at all hot it looks. We had a major leak in the ceiling. Finally they agreed to switch rooms, but we got a smoking room!!!!!! They would not change us to another room. Horrible service!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

the hotel has an excellent location and our view from room 318 was great, over the swimming pool and sea. The hotel lobby looks nice and exotic (with a few mosquitoes). The bed was large and comfortable. That's all the positive i can say. On the negative side: our room was worn terribly, things falling off, the door key/lock is a joke (almost falling […] out of the door), things are growing in the bathroom, the fake ceiling elements are damaged and falling out, the window is not possible to open and very very dirty, etc etc. And the staff downstairs is very busy, usually there was only one person at the desk so ..trankilo, trankilo. The whole thing is just very outdated and worn. Could be made into an excellent 4-star place with some investment... but at this moment it's like a cheap roadside motel. Pela terceira vez, hospedei-me no Plaza em Curacao. A opção pela escolha, como sempre, foi pela proximidade com a região central. Esta deveria ser uma ótima opcao qdo se vai por uma ou duas noites na cidade. Desta vez, o hotel estava em reforma, com uma goteira bem em cima da porta do meu quarto. Sem falar que pedi um quarto não fumante e era quase […] impossível permanecer dentro do mesmo devido ao intenso cheiro de cigarro, principalmente nos travesseiros. Geen internet mogelijheden op de kamer terwijl ik naar het hotel heb gebeld en men aangaf dat dit wel mogelijk was. Zeer lange wachttijden an de balie. Vele malen terug geweesst voor het regelen van een goed afstandbediening voor de TV. Dit is de vierde keer daat ik in dit hotel kom.
