The Flamingo Bay Hotel & Marina at Taino Beach is a cut-rate hotel that is only worth the low rate advertised. The online website depicts a much more upscale hotel than it is. Although basically clean, the rooms are rather old and, in some cases, initially missing the basic necessities (i.e., lamps, phone, towels). The hotel employees, though, are most […] pleasant and eager to help. In fact, after expressing my displeasure a few times, they went out of their way to move me across the street, to the Time Share facility owned by the same company. The location was good, as was the on-site restaurant, Taino By The Sea. The hotel, itself, has no amenities; but guests have access, although somewhat inconvenient, to the Time Share pool and beach. "Mixed feelings about this hotel"
There were many nice things about this hotel including being very close to a beautiful beach and a lovely restaurant, but the room had some glaring issues including an old TV that did not work properly (also no remote), a shower that did not work at all (with not even a stopper so that one could at least bathe), a running, noisy toilet, and very noisy […] ventilation fans in the small bathroom and kitchenette. We were given no sanitized glasses or cups or liner for the ice bucket. Also the ice maker nearest the room did not work. It was our last night on the island after being at a timeshare for the week. It was affordable and the staff was very nice. You have access to a fabulous beach, restaurant, pool with swim up bar and an awesome slide, tennis court which they will supply you with raquets/balls, and a water taxis to the popular Port Lukaya Marketplace.
