"Definitely not a 4*"
Very disappointed in this hotel as we booked it as a 4* rating but would only give it a 3* at most, it is in need of refurbishing. The videos & photos of the hotel must have been taken a number of years ago. We were self catering which was just as well as comments from the "All inclusive" guests were not good, in fact people were eating out. The restaurant […] on the ground floor was situated right next to the indoor swimming pool & therefore smelled damp all the time. The outside pool was a good size but the grassed area around it was in a poor state. There were not enough parasols to go around & those that were there were very dilapadated & a mismatch. You also had to pay for the use of a mattress for your sunbed. The TV in our room was broken which we reported but this was not fixed during the week we were there. Now the good points - the hotel is in a good location, our apartment was very well equipped for all self catering needs & the cleaners were excellent with towels changed daily. "Paraiso De Albufeira Hotel - bad description"
Alot of hidden extras, had to pay to use the gym and even for the hotel to call a taxi for us. Its rated as a 4star, but more like a two star, bathroom was dirty, outdoor pool was dirty, indorrt pool and spa out of order at one stage. photos are very misleading, wouldn't recomendGenuine Hotels.com guest review
