La Concha Renaissance San Juan Resort

La Concha is the best option for a destination wedding venue over 40 guests in San Juan. We had over 60 guests at our wedding and this was definitely the right choice of venue. However, it's not cheap! First the misses. La Concha, you need to include a shuttle service to/from the airport & Old San Juan -BIG MISS. And, multiple guests reported incorrect […] bills at the end of their stay that needed to be corrected -why? Anyway, Here are some of the big pluses that might not be mentioned in other reviews. First, the coconut mojitos. Probably, the single best "island" cocktail I've ever had. Second, 24hour pools and hot tubs. Nothing like a late night swim after a few cocktails. Celebrity status. This is an excellent hotel and overall I had a positive experience. I was in a room with city view: the streets gets very noisy until pretty late during the weekend and would avoid this room if you plan to go to sleep early and don't have much tolerance for noise. Other than that, great hotel that I would visit again and again.

The first room we were in was on the 10 floor and faced the street, evev though we paid for resort view. They were kind enough to change our room upon request to the last available cabana poolside. At least it was resort noise we heard plus late night concerts in the park next to the hotel and not the cars and trash pickup. We arrived on December 23, 2012, with 3 teenagers in tow. We all were impressed by the pretty lobby. We booked two rooms,each with 2 queen beds. In order to have both rooms on the same floor, we had to stay in a room with a king sized bed (the other room was with 2 beds). We had to wait for a few hours for one room to be ready. 5 days stay with 2 yo twins for a sunshine escape. Loved it but not set up much for kids (no kids pool or shallow pool). Nice to have a kitchen in the suite, thought the food was VERY mediocre and we like the nearby restaurants much much better. Overall a lovely escape tho!

That's probably the best hotel in Condado area. Very updated and luxury. Close to everything, staff is doing their best to accomodate you. Take a trip to Culebra , you'll definitely like it. The malaysian restaurant across from the hotel was really nice.

Very nice hotel with updated rooms. We stayed right before elections which we probably wouldn't do again. The way campaigns in Puerto Rico work is that they have people drive around the city waving their parties flags and honking their horns. Only thing I wish for this place was hat it would be an adults only hotel. Too many small children crying in a posh atmosphere that seemed more of an environment for honeymooners. Definitely not a place for kids although many couples thought it would be great to bring their three and four year olds.

The hotel facilities are amazing, the service lacks. The staff is friendly, but they are not attentive. We called for a blow up mattress, after 3 calls it was finally delivered @ 4am. The maid service was not too appeasing as we seemed to never have enough towels. But the pool, outdoor space and rooms were amazing.

The Concierge was on the ball with all her recommendations in regards to places to eat. The hotel lost power but that was because the rest of the island lost power as well. But the staff did everything they were allowed to do to make our stay as comfortable as possible during the outage.

Over all it was good. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. The carpets should have been vacuumed at least once during our 4 day stay. But all in all, it was a good experience. The locations is within walking distance of many good restaurants and the Walgreens is right down the street.

La Concha is a beautiful resort with a modern, regal feel. We enjoyed our time and felt well-treated. We had a suite and the staff washed our breakfast dishes and pans each day. They even have staff who set up beach chairs for you where you want them. My one complaint is that along with this beach chair service comes restrictions. We could not have […] chairs on the section of beach near the adult pool, the area where adults are least likely to want to "play in the sand"! Also, the chairs have a curfew and get taken away. I like to be able to lay out through sunset some times and even return to the beach in the evening without having to sit on the sand.
