great view of crashing waves was a wonderful surprise when we opened the door. we could even hear the waves in the hall, they were so loud. rooms could use new carpets but were very clean and service was great. we stayed prior to our cruise and after our cruise. staff very helpful with excursions in san juan, dining, local bus, and taxi requests.

The hotel room was clean but very spartan; decor bland. For two people, we had in the bathroom. two bath towels, 1 hand towel and 1 wash cloth. There was no soap dish in the shower. There is a restaurant on the premises but it is only open for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was not available during the week, only on Saturday and Sunday. Good hotel for short stay. No coffee maker or refrigerator. Microwave ironing board and iron, internet. Windows are not big enough for good view of the beach. Don't expect US hotel quality. AC unit is noisy. Fastest elevators in PR. Employees are VERY courteous and helpful. Specially Hector at the front desk and the valet parking guys.

The whole hotel looks dirty and stained. The restaurant was ok, not great, not bad. But this was not the worst... The front desk was awful, useless, uncaring, and quite rude. They were not hospitable or cared about your opinion of the Island... Everyone we had to deal with at the front desk was RUDE with the exception of one encounter there was a gentleman there who was helpful. The other ladies were not at all nice. Our room had a dirty carpet, 2 of the 3 lights in the room did not work, Our phone in the room would not work. The bathroom was dirty. Volume button on tv didn't work. It is right […] on the beach but that beach area is not swimmable and the beach part was not one where you could lay out on. (lots of rocks and branches). the walkway to the beach from the deck was full of boards that were loose and not safe. The hotel is in a great location on the main strip of the upscale Condado neighborhood. The hotel is a good value. It's not a nice hotel room, but the price is great for the neighborhood. My friend and I were in the ironman triathlon 3/17. All of our friends stayed in expensive hotels and we thought we were pretty smart to stay right where we did. I traveled from Cleveland to San Juan to visit family and at the same time get away from the cold weather. The location of the hotel is great, however the rooms are a bit outdated, although very roomyd. They could be much better especially for the price I paid per night. My fiance and I requested an oceanfront room, but the 107-room doesn't have a balcony. […] It only had 2 windows that couldn't be opened. The room had a refrigerator, ironing board and iron but didn't have a microwave. Also, the hotel does not provide complimentary breakfast. This hotel is in a great location. The Lobby is beautiful, the pool area very nice. Close to great beach access, the beach by the hotel is too rocky to swim, or really enjoy, but only a short walk to other beaches in the area. The room I had, 405, desperately needed renovation. It is an old hotel, and I was told they have started renovations, but haven't […] made it to that floor yet. I had an Ocean view and that was nice, the rooms are very large, and the AC works well. The beds are not the best and the carpet looked filthy. The toilet paper was useless, I bought my own. There wasn't a vent fan in the bathroom so, whenever I showered the whole room turned into a sauna and never really dried out. The restaurant in the lobby, independent, was excellent! The location is very convenient, the pool area is real nice, but the condition of the Hotel is getting real bad, rooms are old, and bed are very uncomfortable, carpet has stains, and paint of the building is real bad. I think the value of this hotel was good. The phone in my room didn't work but the staff gave me a wake up knock on the door each morning that I needed it. The staff gave excellent service especially the young man who was at the front desk the day of check in (did not check me in but spoke to him later) Jan 29,13. Over all my hotel stay was OK. I dont think it was a one star how some people were rating. It is right on the ocean, Beautiful views, not to swim, very rocky. The pool area was nice, only 10 chairs. There is a kiddie pool nothing special but a fun splashing pool. the bar is ridiculously expensive $25 for 2 margaritas (they were small) but it is nice. […] Our room smelled very clean, a little like bleach so I know the house keepers do their job right. We were promised a room in the "newly remodeled area" but didnt get it, we didnt have shades in our room. We called and they said they were going to talk to maintenance and nothing was ever fixed. We were on the lagoon side. SUPER noisy very hard to sleep!! As I dont believe the town sleeps! When we first booked our room the manager stated the remodeling will be done by Nov 2012 so no worries about the other bad reviews, however when we went last week jan 2013 the remodeling was still not finished. so a bit bummed about the broken promises! My room wasn't fully cleaned. A cleaning bottle was left in the bathroom. Toilet and shower were not in the greatest conditions. They wasn't even any wash cloths to use. AC didn't work. I had an ocean view room. The door that let you outside did not work. In fact, it was broken. I felt for my security and had to ask for a room change. Personnel is very courteous and resolved the issue soon. No free parking at the hotel. Valet parking is available for twenty bucks daily.
