I was dissapointed because they gave me a room that was having toilet problem. I insisted in giving me another room and they did sad to say they gave me with a toilet full of ants. They gave me another one and it was occupied. I ended up in my room 604 and I had to ask them to get a maintenance guy to fix the toilet. It was not really working but I […] stayed there thinking they will clean up...They did and I watched them clean the toilet and sad again to say they used dirty towels to wipe the toilet bowl and I instructed them not to continue that I will do it and clean it up myself with the cleaning materials i brought from my trip. I also told them not to clean anymore my bathroom until further notice of giving me fresh towels. It was so bad and i wanted to vomit how they cleaned the toilet. I could imagine how they turned in the beds with that nasty way of cleaning. I did not really enjoy my stay. "Bayview Park Hotel"
I booked this hotel because of it's location which is close to the US embassy. The hotel is nice and the rooms are comfy and relaxing. Unfotunately the following day there was a typhoon and the ground floor was flooded. Now comes the problem, the hotel big as it is don't have no emergency plan. No guests could leave the hotel because of the weather […] and there was no electricity. the stairwells are dark and I have to use my cell phone to light up my path at the same time trying to conserve its use cause i need it for calling in a more emergent situation. Not until later that they provide staff to stay in the stairwells to provide lighting with a flashlight. Food is terrible, they sell it for P300.00 for two small pieces of chicken and a cup of rice. The Manager never showed up despite several request fom the guest to answer questions on what is their plan for the guest. The people in the front desk doesn't know the answer to the guest question and nobody knows the answer. Thankfully we were able to transfer to another hotel and it feels much better. As an International traveler for both business and family vacation, i must say that I am appalled with this hotel. 3 stars, humph, 1.5 stars. My experience was horrible from arrival and got worse as the time went on. Upon arrival we got out of the taxi and even with 4 porters and telling them we were checking in 5 times, they still did not help us with […] our bags. They did however, take the time to move my bags out of their way while we were unloading. Also not one greeting, welcome, how are you...I felt like I had committed a crime arriving in a taxi. Then at check-in there was a long wait and NO place to sit down. When they told me my wife could sit in the Cafe, the cafe then told my wife it was for customers only. I have never been to a hotel without places to sit in the lobby. After arguing with management regarding the room deposit we agreed that I was on a cash basis for my incidentals...DUH, like I was planning to NOT pay for my incidentals if I even had any. The general demeanor of all employees was very inhospitable and downright angry in some instances. A guy at the porte cochere even asked my wife what here business was there and who she was with.....I wanted to knock his teeth out. The room is the bare minimum, no frills, no washcloth, no hangers, no amenities other than soap. I guess that should be expected for a less expensive hotel...but I had just checked out of G Hotel, 1km away and gotten twice the room and 5 star service for only 200 pesos more per night. I left my room just after checking in and went down to starbucks for coffee. On my way in and out of the hotel I counted over 15 staff that I passed. NOT ONE of them greeted me or said hello, or good afternoon or anything. They watched my like I was a common thief or a criminal in their midst. "a good basic hotel but needing updating"
A reasonably priced basic hotel overlooking Manila Bay but with lots of traffic along Roxas. Comfortable rooms and all facilities but the hotel seems a bit in need of updating. The lifts were often out of service and reception overworked. Breakfast is often crowded and is too asian with stodgy white bread and an antiquated toaster that takes 5 monutes […] to taost 2 slices!! It can't be difficult to install a rapid toaster with adequate capacity. The streets nearby are probably safe enough - I always walk to Robinson Mall without problems - but there are many people living on the streets and in dire poverty so it's a sad neighbourhood. There are some good restaurants nearby including Chinese and Filiipino and a Yellow Cab for pizzas. Starbuck next door. Rizal Park is worth walking to during the daytime and there is a great selection of restaurants etc on the quayside so you can eat a tasty ice-yoghurt or seafood menu and watch the ships in Manila Bay. I had a bad experience at the Bayview Park Hotel Manila when I check out. The fact was that day I arrived at the hotel they gave me 2 plastic card keys one of the keys did not work, so I laid it on the table in the hotel room. When I checked out they charged 150 pesos for the missing key I told them that I put the key on the table in the hotel room […] because the key does not work. But they claimed they could not find the key in the room so they demanded that I paid the 150 pesos for the missing key and if I did not pay, it was not possible to leave the hotel. I was upset because I felt they took me as a hostage; ultimately I pay because I don’t want to miss my airplane. And someone has to coordinate the guy’s from the staff who just hangs around the front door.
