West Baden Springs Hotel

A beautiful restoration with an interesting history. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the tours and the food. I have Celiac disease and the food staff was very helpful with preparing food I could safely eat. Very clean and nice extras.

Beautiful hotel and beautiful room. The largest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Two comfy chairs plus a good sized work table with two chairs. Double vanity, bathtub and separate shower. Very clean and well maintained. Nice pool area inside and out - also with comfortable chairs for relaxing.

My wife and I celebrated our 13 year anniversary and we were absolutely charmed by the hotel and surrounding area. We ate dinner at the Sinclair restaraunt and although the food was not as stunning as the hotel, the ambiance and service made up for any shortcomings. Had a great weekend, enjoyed the West Baden Resort and its history. We would definitely recommend to others, such a grand hotel.

My wife and I were very impressed with the beauty of the hotel and grounds. The staff was very friendly however we visited on a Thursday and even though it was not crowded, the bellman took over an hour to get our few pieces of luggage to us when we checked in and again when we checked out. This is like no place we have EVER visited in the US, right in Southern Indiana. Every detail is attended to and you feel so special being a guest. Go on the "Historical tour" of the building and grounds. Fascinating

i've been coming to this area for 30 yrs and had been planning this for my b'day....the only downside was the cost and expense of staying...i think for the cost of the room at least breakfast should have been included.....

This was a wonderful get a way for me. The restoration of this beautiful building was great. The surrounding grounds are fantastic. Evenryone was most helpful and plesant. The only negative thing had to do with the main dining room, i will have to admit that it was things that I have read in previous reviews. It is remarkable that this gem of a hotel has been revived. The rooms are lovely. The ambiance is wonderful. It is a beautiful setting. Some things can be improved upon. The chatty cathy's at the registration desk upon check-out should be admonished. The customer is more important than your private conversations. A simple thank you for staying with […] us would be wonderful. And, would it not be nice for the hotel to offer up some local wines from the Indiana Uplands Trail in their Sinclair restaurant. This was the most enjoyable experience ever. The moment you pull onto the grounds, the beauty overtakes you and then the service was absolutely 5 star the moment we pulled up. From the beginning to the end it was absolutely perfect.

The finest hotel we have ever stayed in. Absolutely perfect plus great history took a tour of hotel-fascinating. Food and service were exceptional.

It was the best experience lve had in a hotel. Even slept well witch dosen't happen for me in most hotels. the place was absolutely beautiful its a musy see..

My husband and I visited this area when our children were young, returned for a few events, including a special anniversary. We mourned West Baden 15 years ago and have been thrilled with the renovations. Wanting to share it with a grown daughter visiting from out of the country, we made reservations for just mom and daughter. we also were able to get […] spa services the day of and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Perhaps a little too quiet on a Sunday night (just before the beginning of a busy spring break season), but felt very secure. The staff was friendly and warm, the room was immaculate, the view from the balcony was grand. I'm so happy to have rediscovered West Baden so close to home and plan more trips there with friends. French Lick Resorts includes French Lick hotel and adjoining casino. We did stop in for a few minutes although it's not something I enjoy. I also lamented the lost of the charm of the hotel. However, I understand how helpful this is to the resort and the community. The Pete Dye golf course is a huge attraction - a gorgeous course, the second highest point in the state. Would be so beautiful in the summer and fall. This five-star venue is a mixture of Victorian society with traditional Hoosier hospitality - and it works. So this was our 3rd stay at this hotel, but we opted for a slightly pricier room this time which was amazing and had a great view of the atrium. this is such a beautiful place to stay with great food and an amazing pool and spa. we can't wait to go again!

Great place. Love the atrium! St. Clair is the best restaurant in the area.

What a beautiful hotel. The restoration is amazing, the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in, although the chairs in the room could be a little more comfortable. Room service is 24 hrs and fast and convenient and the food was great and good sized portions not like some places where you get 3 or 4 bites for an outragous price. Also is just […] a few blocks from the the french lick hotel and casino with a 24 hr shuttle that runs between the 2 hotels. Had an amazing weekend and have already made reservations to stay again. We have stayed at West Baden numerous times and never had one single bad experience. The historic hotel is lovely, certainly a "diamond" in the landscape of rural Indiana. The staff and townspeople are welcoming and helpful in every way possible. We especially like the fact the hotel is pet friendly as we travel with our Labrador. That is all their is to do at this place. Their is nothing in town so if you are leaving the hotel don't expect much. The hotel itself is awsome and has some outstanding architecture. It is clean and well cared for. If you are just looking for a get away that includes golf, spa, and gambling you have come to the right place. The casino is at the other […] hotel but only a mile down the street. It is not Vegas by no means and was dissapointed by how few people were there. They have plenty of slot machines but few live tables. Overall I enjoyed my stay of one night. Read more

Great rehab of a beautiful facility ..certainly worth the trip[! That said the surrounding town was a disappointment as was the "over decorating" of the guest rooms

This hotel is outstanding. I am already trying to figure out why I might be back in French Lick. The room was huge, luxurious, comfortable and quiet. We were allowed to order off the Sinclair menu at the Ballard restaurant. It was 5 star quality. We loved it - great quality for the price.

Exterior of hotel is unappealing. Rooms very nice and modern. Food and drink costs are exorbitant.

Wonderful place with lot's of activities and beautiful scenerie. We took a walk to the casino hotel. It was also elegant. The golf courses were beautiful. The history of the place was incredible. The food was excellent and the hospitality was great. Very friendly staff. Hope to go back soon.

The hotel at West Baden in French Lick, IN was an outstanding experience!! What a gem!!!

I was slightly concerned that the hotel renovation would be cheesy and service would be poor due to it being a slow time for the hotel. i was very surprised by the quality of the renovation and the meshing of old and new. service was excellent and the facilities were well appointed and very nice. the pool and whirlpool were perfect. the hours of operation […] were great too, not closing until midnight. our stay was very relaxing and just what we wanted and needed.
