If you like the uniqueness of an old hotel, you'll love the Colony. It literally takes you back in time when you enter the lobby, with old music playing and the sea breeze (un-air conditioned) blowing through the halls. From the original 1926 Otis elevator to the telephone switchboard, you can easily imagine yourself in old Florida. Fortunately for those of us who prefer the modern features of life, the upper floors and rooms are air-conditioned, and our room was equipped with a flat panel television. The location is within walking distance of great restaurants and shops, and you must pay a visit to their exclusive beach club.

I absolutely loved the athmosphere in the hotel!!! Most of the staff were very friendly. Right in the heart of Atlantic ave... walking distance to great restaurants and boutiques. Non-smoking hotel, which I think I great, but I wish smoking was allowed in the outside balcony. If you're looking for that "vacation smoke" you'll have to step out on the street or the parking lot on the back. Overall though, great deal! You'll love it

historic hotel with great lobby and front porch in the center of all the excitement of atlantic avenue. watch the people go buy while drinking a martini on your porch and listening to someone playing the hotel's grand piano. or listening to the weekend jazz singer. great location. loved our room which was large with period furnishings, though we had a plasma tv. would highly recommend. stayed here with my 70 year old mom and 11 year old niece and they both loved it. best of all is the beach club which hotel guests are allowed to use. the hotel is worth the money if only for the ability to use the great old time florida private beach club and restaurant.

After many stays in Delray, we tried in Colony Hotel. This historic treasure is a charming place to stay. The open lobby with its wicker furniture and Key West colors is delightful. Located right in the middle of great restaurants and shopping, this hotel is unlike any other in the area. When you walk in to the lobby, you know you're someplace special - not the same old chain-hotel lobby you could walk in to in any city in any town. The room was clean and comfortable - the bed was great! What truly makes the stay special is the Cabana Club. Reminiscent of the old Florida beach clubs, the Cabana Club is a relaxing retreat. The lunches were great, the staff was friendly, and the salt water pool was warm and relaxing. If you're looking for more than a room to sleep in, you cannot match the value, charm, and ambiance of this wonderful place.
