Overall, a very nice hotel. However, they put just one flat sheet over the mattress. No matter how little you toss and turn, that tucked in flat sheet will loosen during the night and you'll end up with some part of your body on the bare mattress. Yuck! And just one thin sheet is not enough to protect the mattress from whatever may get on the sheet...

The hotel was in a great area (close to the Field Museum) and was very clean and comfortable. However, it's not a family-friendly hotel. There are no restaurants within walking distance that are okay for kids; all of the ones we were recommended (by the concierge) were upscale and pricey. And they supposedly don't know of any pizza places that deliver to the hotel. We were lucky enough to catch a delivery man downstairs who gave us his employer's take-out menu. So overall, it's a great hotel for business, not for families.

We only stayed here because of our event in the hotel made it convenient, I would suggest the same for anyone else. Poor as far as Hyatt's go. Locals said it is always that way.

At check-in, we were offered a free room upgrade, as we were traveling with children. It was unexpected and made our trip enjoyable and luxurious. The restaurant was excellent as well.

From the time pulled in the driveway, doorman opening the car & unloading our bags to the cart, I knew I had finally returned to good service. The man who brought our bags to the room, drew back the curtains so we could see our great view, drew open the closet drapes, placed our things there and recommended the concierge to make reservations for us so that we would not have a long wait in a nice restaurant. Clean, comfortable, i-home stations...every hotel should be like this...

The hotel wasn't situated right in the heart of the Chicago, but the #3 bus (which takes you right into the Magnificent Mile) runs right by the hotel. There is also a hotel shuttle that can drop off visitors downtown, at the Museum Campus, or at the Navy Pier. The hotel is also connected to the McCormick Place Metra. Unfortunately, breakfast isn't included and the hotel restaurants were a bit pricey. Overall, it was a nice stay in a nice room... except for the bathroom door that refused to close all the way.

There were no restaurants within walking distance. We were forced to eat and one of the 3 places there which was not that great. I thought we would be in the middle of downtown Chicago. A small bottle of water cost $3.50 We tried to buy water from the vending machines on every floor and they were empty. Would have been $1.50 at vending machine. I would never go back to that hotel

We stayed here Friday night with 2 teenage daughters. At 2:00 AM we were awoke by a party next door. I could hear conversation in the next room with both doors closed. Nothing close at all to eat. Both eating establishments were overpriced. Room service for 2 eggs, bacon and toast was $19.00!!!!! OMG are you kidding? Hotel was very busy with a convention both Friday night and Saturday until we checked out. Elevators were soooooooo crappy, with long waits and overly crowded. Nice fitness room and laundry facilities for only a dollar to wash and a dollar to dry (45 minutes on dryer).

This hotel was fantastic. The hotel is easy to get in and out of, the room was very clean and smelled nice and had an incredible view of both the lake and the skyline. The lobby was large and accomadating. The staff was extremely helpful and always smiling. They are the ones that made it a perfect experience. The only drawback, if any, is the location. You need to cab it just about anywhere except the museum campus where you will find Shedds, field and Addler planitarium. However, for what we paid, cabbing it everwhere was still much less than staying closer downtown, and I guarantee you won't find a better run hotel. Stay at this hotel, you won't be dissapointed!

I was really disapointed that the room was outdated and i was in a room that had dirty bed sheets. I was promised and upgrade room but instead got a room that faced the parking lot and it was just an over all bad situation. The staff was very nice.
