This hotel had no specific horrible things, however it had an Indian restaurant which made most of the property reak of curry. It is in a marginal neighborhood with Pawn Brokers and the like... The room was ok - the property is gated - not sure why - they should have spent more on the rooms and less on the gates. Not at all impressive on drive up - a dried up fountain and a "mortuary-like" red velvet sofa in the lobby. The hot breakfast that was included was also unusual. There is a little man that sits in the corner and seems to count what you take out of the chafing dishes. Additionally he watched every move we made as we ate. All in all, it was not the best experience. The price with tax was about $60.00 and honestly, the La Quinta next door (about the same price) was much nicer

The hotel was located in a bad part of town. The toilet and air conditioner were broken. I called for maintenance. The man that came down to fix the toilet said it was fixed and attempted to leave. We had to stop him because although we were now able to flush the toilet, water was leaking all over the floor. I asked him to fix that. He said he fixed it and would clean it up. He left for a short period of time and returned with a dirty smelling mop. He mopped up the water and put the mop on the carpet where the smell seeped into the carpet. He then left. I called and asked if we could change rooms. They accommodated our request. There were other patrons running around the court yard area and playing putt-putt golf at 2:00 am. We had to call to ask that they be removed. I called and told them that I did not need maid service. I had to call because I didn't have a sign to put on my door. While we were changing the maid walked in on us.

The Hotel was well worth the money. Our first night was fine. The second night of our stay was very noisy. Children running around screaming 11 pm till almost 1 am. I repeatedly asked them to please quiet down as I had a little one sleeping. After 3 attempts I tried calling the front desk repeatedly with no answer. The adults in this groupfinally quited down after 1 30 am. I spoke with the front desk in the morning . Thaey apologized for it and said they had repeatedly been down there because of complaints of the noise. Our 3rd night was quiet and uneventful. Thank You

Their pool area is amazing...it's just cozy with great furniture and beautiful landscaping. The hotel was conveniently located close to the Interstate and it was easy to get to. The distance between it and either downtown Tampa and St. Pete was perfect. The neighborhood was not a commercial strip, more of a residential neighborhood, but the stores/restaurants were not far at all and there were lots of choices.
