Service and staff are friendly and professional. We stayed in a beachfront room - well worth the cost to upgrade. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom is outdated and quite small, but otherwise acceptable. Beach access at the doorstep is convenient and amenities are great. Tiki bar and restaurant prices are very reasonable.

Right on the beach with great bar and hotel staff. Room was great for our family - king size bed in separate bedroom with TV, bunk bed room with 2 beds and TV/game console, and queen sleeper sofa with TV. Balcony looking out on the beach and kitchenette with cooktop, frig, sink, dishes, utensils, dishes and cooking pans. Had breakfast in the room and cooked lunch before heading out for dinner. Coin operated laundry facilities on location as well. Beach towels provided free of charge every day.

I have stayed at this resort several times. It has always been right after the summer in Sept. The rates are considerably lower which is great. I choose the location because the hotel is right on the beach. There are a couple of pools if you choose to stay away from the ocean. But why would you? St Pete is lovely. There are always shells to pick up and the shoreline is pristine. You may see a couple of dolphins going by as I did this time. There is a supermarket (Publix a few blocks away and you can store drinks in the mini fridge.

Sirata consists of a disjointed cluster of what appears to have once been several distinct individual motel properties. There may be some more recent construction in there somewhere, in the form of a large hotel and conference building, and it appears there's been some attempt to make the various buildings connected via walkways. Overall the impression is not one of a true destination resort. For a romantic get away, don't bother. However for a beach weekend with the kids, it's acceptable. You're totally rolling the dice when it comes to your room. You may be in the main building, which looks like it was built and decorated circa 1980, or in one of the the two story, open walkway motels, which appear to be circa 1970. In either event, hotel design and construction has changed dramatically since then, and while Sirata seems to be owned and managed by well intentioned people, there's only so much that can be done with the old property and the old rooms. Our "Ocean View Executive Suite" overlooked a massive, ugly roof. The ocean was there, technically, but that wasn't a view worth mentioning or paying for. The balcony was two feet wide and suitable only for giving the impression of what a balcony would be if one were built. Fortunately, because the view was so bad, we didn't mind not having a balcony to view it from. The suite was a decent size, and the typical amenities were present, albeit in 1990's form (a cathode ray tube TV and a clock radio that played CDs, for example.) It was reasonably clean and the main beds were comfortable. The pull out was pretty bad, but they usually are. The place was pretty poorly sound insulated...every slamming door and hallway conversation was audible. Skip the on-property restaurant...high prices and mediocre food. There are plenty of better choices in walking distance. The Sirata's beach-side tiki bar is popular, especially with locals, who take up all of the free parking that hotel guests have to pay $8.00 a night for. In fa

Nice rooms, quality and friendly service, beautiful views, amazing beach... My only criticism is that room service ends too early, and the restaurant should be opened later... We got in late and would have like to eaten on the premises or in our room... But that's a mere quibble. I had a five-star experience at a 2 star price.

We were very happy with the location of the Sirata Beach Resort. It is located right on the beach together with several other nice resorts. This was nice because even though we enjoyed the emenities of the Sirata, we spent more time and enjoyed the surrounding resorts more. The room was clean and nice. However, the layout of the room puts the bed right by the door. The downside of this is that we were awakened both nights we stayed in the middle of the night by kids/teenagers/partiers screaming in the hallway. This is not necessarily the resort's fault but there was about a 1" gap underneath the door and sound insulation was at a minimum. Even with disturbed sleep both nights, we still found the resort to be a little dated but nice overall. With some updating and remodeling, changing the layout of the rooms, this could be a very nice resort. However, we feel there are better options in this area and will not be returning to this resort the next time we stay in this area.

The hotel grounds were well maintained and had a great atmosphere and many amenties for families to enjoy. The beachfront room we stayed in was big and not that impressive as far as comfort. In addition to spending over two hundred dollars for a night's stay, we had to pay an additional eight dollars a day to park and they did not include any breakfast. No free coffee, bagels or muffins etc. A pitcher of orange juice was twenty five dollars. All in all we really paid for a room with an incredible view and if that's what you're looking for, this is perfect.

We've not stayed in St. Pete's before, so relied on reviews from previous guests. They weren't wrong, it is excellent and well worth a visit. If you're taking a family I would advise booking a studio room as they have a small but well equipped kichen area. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are well equipped.

We were lucky to get a last minute stay at a resort on the beach. Overall we were very pleased with our stay. The room was perfect for families as well as the entire resort, from the playground, pools, restaurants, all the activities on the beach, hammocks and table located next to the playground and the arcade, we made use of just about everything. The only complaints we have are a lot of the games at the arcade did not work...the chairs were not convenient to the the shoreline to watch kids play, we used our towels instead and everyone was happy and we saved a few bucks, and last is we traveled with four children, the room was convenient as we slept in the living area and the four children slept in the bedroom in the two comfy cozy queen beds, and we slept on the most uncomfortable pull out couch. The only thing we would've changed is we would make the four kids sleep on the sofa bed and would've had a longer stay.

Pools were waaaaay too crowded. Beach was crowded. Somewhat expected, being that it was a weekend but it would have been nice to have a little more privacy. Outside bar music was nice during the day. Food was great. Room was decent for the price. Bathroom very small and plain. Very loud door slamming, kids yelling at all hours of the day and night. Stayed in the King Suite and thanking God for the balcony to escape all the inside noise. Not a place for couples looking for a romantic secluded getaway. Great for families? Staff was very helpful and polite. Bad parking situation.

Location nice. The beach was nice. Studio room a bit deceiving. Thought it would be nicer than what it was. Really one big room w/ beds, dining room table, and kitchen. Thought areas would be separated. Most disappointing was no private balcony. Balcony was one extended walkway for all rooms. Pools small and overcrowded.

I was somewhat disappointed when I arrived at the hotel. First let me say, I was traveling with 3 grandchildren. 11 year old boy, 9 and 7 year old girls. and their mother. I asked for a room with 2 queen beds. the girls could sleep together and boy would sleep on pull out bed. The room I booked was to sleep 6. More then enough room When we checked in we were told the room that they had planned on us staying in had water problems. So we were going to be put in a room with a King bed, and a pull out. Room sleeps 4, everything in room was for 4. They also said that if I wanted they could problerly change me the next day. I was so tired and my daught knew it we stayed where we were. We had just drove over 6 hours. and were very tired and hungry. all the kids wanted was to go to the pool. Me and my daughter were so tired. When we got to the room, and looked around I said I can't have my grandson sleep with his sisters. We can get you roll around, (they dropped it off while we were out of the room) They could have cleaned it up it was so dusty My daughter cleaned it off. That night when everyone was going to bed. Then the fun began, trying to arrange the roll around, we can't set it up in front of the door. So we squeezed it in front of the TV. I felt like I had stopped a the last motel in town and this was the only room left. I do not remember reading that we had to pay for parking. And a cabana on the beach what they did not say was you must go down real early to get one. They gave us our parking for free while we were there.Because of our problem What I could not understand was as guests we had to pay to parking. Come 6pm every night and there was no one at the gate and the gate was left open anyone could have come and gone all night long. The gentleman who checked us in said the kids under 12 would eat for free with a paying guest they made it sound that they were doing that also because of our problem (They hotel had it posted out side on the sign board) That bring

We had an amazing time at Sirata Beach Eesort. You can walk from your room to the beach literally in a minute. There are two restaurant available within the hotel but there are also plenty of other restaurants within 5 minutes of walk. I would definitely recommend seafood and Cuban food. I'm sure every other comment has something to do with white sand, beautiful sunset, and friendly stuff so I'm gonna skip these. This hotel exceeded all of my expectations.

The first time we went to the Sirata it was great. So, we decided to go back even though the price was a little higher than last time, we thought it was worth it since we enjoyed it so much last time. Boy, I was wrong. We were put into rooms that looked like an old motel (far from hotel), our toilet wouldnt flush, the sheets were too small for the bed so they would stay on, the remote for the TV didnt work, the shower didnt hold a steady temperature and the door to the room stuck so you really had to put your shoulder into it to open it. I was very disappointed this time around, way different from the first time we stayed. And for the money I was charged...totally not worth it!
