This is an excellent hotel with easy parking in a nice neighborhood just a few blocks from I-5 and from highway 56. Clean, comfortable rooms. Very friendly, competent staff. I enjoyed the stay at the hotel. My only complaint, which isn't about the hotel is that you have to travel a little bit to get to a store or restaurant. It's in the middle of a residential neighborhood so you have to drive to the freeway and take it a couple miles to the nearest spot to buy anything. The thing we loved most about our room turned out to be the beds and pillows. We were each able to adjust the firmness of the bed and enjoy a variety of pillow choices. The hotel was nice enough to let us purchase a couple of the down pillows that were in our room at a very reasonable price. This is the 2nd time my husband & I stayed at this hotel. The front desk staff were very pleasant and engaging. There were fresh baked cookies at the front desk every night, which was a real treat. Our room was very clean. The towels were nice and large & plush. There was a little trick to turning on the TV with the remote. You first had to turn on […] the TV with the remote then push the power button on the TV, then turn the TV on again with the remote. There were plenty of hangers, a nice refrigerator, microwave, iron, & ironing board. The bed was adjustable for firmness or softness on each side, which was nice. This hotel was very quiet. This hotel is away from the freeway and we heard no outside noise or any noise inside the hotel. It was extremely quite, almost like we were the only ones there, although we weren't. We had breakfast in the hotel dining room & ordered from the menu. The toast was barely toasted and the coffee was cold, even when we asked for fresh. The jelly tasted like flavored rubbery wax. Other than that, the food was good. In the evening, there is a bar where the food was set up. The restrooms in the lobby area were immaculate. "Interesting call at 1:30 am"
Nice hotel,quiet with a comfortable bed. Dead asleep when the hotel phone rang at 1:30am from a person claiming to be from the front desk who told me that my credit card did not go through and I needed to give him the c.c. info over the phone or go to the lobby. He claimed that if I did not update the card I would be removed from the hotel immediately. […] I groggily thought this over and told him my stay was purchased through Hotels.com. He reiterated that if I did not comply immediately I would be kicked out. I hung up on him and after another call ended up unplugging the phone. After reporting this to the manager in the morning and establishing that there was nothing wrong with my c.c. I realized that it was a scam to get my c.c. number. The manager said he could research the phone records but I never heard back from the hotel on what happened. I was disappointed in their response, I thought they would be all over this in trying to get to the bottom of it to ensure their guests safety.
