Comfortable hotel very close to the old city of Salzburg. Staff friendly and very helpful. Requests fulfilled within minutes. Excellent value for the money. included buffet breakfast with a good choice.

Schwaerzler Hotel Neutor has two buildings, one on either side of the street. Our first night was spent across the street from the main building where you check in. The room was a standard European room - perfectly comfortable and clean but no A/C; no English TV. They moved us across the street our second night due to the arrival of a large tour group. Our second room was newly renovated. It was very nice - modern, clean, ceiling fan, & a small flat screen TV on the wall with one English channel (CNN). Staff was helpful and friendly our entire stay. Breakfast included breads, cold cuts, cheese, cereal, eggs, coffee/juice/tea. Parking consisted of a handful of spots behind the main building and a few spots along the street in front of the hotel. We always found a spot, but it was usually the last one. Hotel location was great - easily walkable to most Salzburg sites.

Hotel is right in the city center. Easy to park, and get to the sights. Room we had was not in the main hotel and was VERY dirty. (Hairs on pillow and in sheets, hairs in the shower, dirty walls and floor). May have been isolated incident or because we were not in the main building. Either way, completely unacceptable.

bar, service, accomidations, all were great. The cleaning lady threw out some notes I left on the table, but that was the only problem

We were only in Salzburg one night, so this place was fine. The room was very small, but we didn't need anything bigger. The bus stops just down the road from the hotel. Very nice to get to and from the train station. We walked to all the touristy sights though. It was close to everything. The soap they provide comes in a bulk dispenser, for the sink and the shower. I believe it is for hair and body. It worked great for washing my body and hair, but I was so glad to have brought my own conditioner. They don't provide that.

don't be deceived by the pictures. They gave us the worst possible room in the hotel on the first floor facing the busy street. The room was like a dorm room, dirty and tiny bathroom. Not enough space to even move around. The lobby has been slightly updated but asking others from Salzburg, not a very good hotel at all! Highly disappointed and no breakfast!

We stayed twice in the same week, at the beginning and end of our trip to Austria. The first night we stayed in the main building and the room was modest and quite acceptable for the over night stay. The only disadvantage was the noise from the road below and the ancient tiny TV. The second stay was much better, we stayed in the second block (the other side of the road) and it was spacious, delightfully decorated and much quieter. I think we struck gold the second time because it was a pleasure to stay there. The walk into the old town is very convenient and the staff are quite helpful. The breakfast isn't elaborate but the quality is high.

This hotel was in a fantastic location, with a quick walk to the old town; the hotel was clean, breakfast was good, service was excellent. For the price, I don't think you could do much better.

Bra läge. Det var bara att gå genom tunneln, så var vi i gamla stan. Kan vara lite knepigt att hitta parkering, då hotellet inte har så många platser.

Vorsicht, es gibt zwei Häuser, das eine ist innen glaub ich sehr schön, das andere liegt gegenüber und grenzt an eine Absteige. Da gibt's besseres um den Preis in Salzburg

Als wir im Hotel ankamen, wurden wir an der Rezeption erst mal 10 Minuten stehen gelassen. Die Dame am Empfang begrüßte uns nicht mal und verließ mit anderen Gästen das Hotel. Nach 10 Minuten kam sie wieder und teilte uns mit, dass unser Zimmer auf der anderen Straßenseite sei. Es gab dort keine Lobby, kein Restaurant, keine Bar, auch keine im Zimmer. Wenn man etwas will muß man erst über die sehr belebte Straße.Das fand ich alles nicht so schlimm. Was mich wirklich störte, war der Dreck im Zimmer und Bad. Der Teppichboden unsauber und total abgetreten. Das Bad war nicht richtig geputzt. an dem alten, abgegriffenem Einbauschrank klebte der Dreck. Zu mindest machte das Bett einen sauberen Eindruck.Es war kein ausreichendes Licht zum Lesen vorhanden. Das Frühstück ließ auch zu wünschen übrig. Die Lage des Hotels war gut. Ich gehe da nicht mehr hin.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Zimmer etwas klein. Gut gelegen.
