Hotel Emporio Zacatecas
Emporio Zacatecas has a location that cannot be beat, right accross the street from the Cathedral. The rooftop restaurant was non-functional at the time of my visit last week, but the terrace was still accessible to visitors and offered an amazing view to the Cathedral and the hills surrounding the Centro Historico, as well as the Cero de Bufa. My room was on the 6th floor facing the courtyard and was spacious, very quiet, with comfortable bed and with good light. However, there was an unpleasant strong smell emanating from the ceiling vent intermittently, and the hotel staff was unsure as to what the problem was. I didn't spent much time in the room, but it would have been a problem if I had stayed in longer. The room did show some wear and tear and would benefit from remodeling. Overall, Emporio Zacatecas is a reasonable choice for a short stay, maybe is a bit overpriced for what it has to offer....More
