Barcelo Tambor Beach All Inclusive
AVOID THIS HOTEL Rooms not made up well (NO fitted sheat, or mattress pad). Forced to touch mattress when bed shet slipped. FOOD was NOT good. Did not taste fresh, lacked care in preparation. Forced to eat in unairconditioned, outdoor areas, very loud since the hotel is 95% occupied by costa rica locals which are sold rooms at a special low rate not available to tourists. Impossible location (forced to travel by boat and land) makes for a wasted day. The dark brown sand beach is ugly and filled with litter, and rotten wood pulp in the water. Provided kayaks lacked seats. Forced to sit on hard plastic....More

Tango Mar Beach And Golf Resort
The only thing wrong about Tango Mar was not having more time there. That, and the access road of 2K which resembled a Baja 1000 Road To Hell. Once you're into the Resort proper, there is no end to the comforts, the views, the beautiful sandy beach, and especially the Staff and the hospitable owner. We sandwiched three "tours" into seven days at Tango Mar, and a round of golf. Each of these was of the best quality, and for reasonable prices. The best of all the qualities was the courteous and well-trained staff at the hotel. From dinners outside, or inside, to the room cleaners, the poolside restaurant, and the desk staff, everyone knew how to make us feel special, and to answer our questions about tours, tides, meals and outside recreation. There was even a session with the owner about the intrigue in saving Tango Mar from the clutches of a wealthy tax-evader, (now in U.S. Prison), who wanted the resort for himself! What a story! If you love warm sunrises, beautiful surfside quarters, and sunsets to dazzle the eyes, with food to meet every taste, then Tango Mar is for you. Yes, this sounds like an advertisement, but we have traveled extensively and cruised a bit too, and left Tango Mar feeling it was our best experience ever. Ed & Ricky S. Oregon, U.S.A....More
