    Novotel Warszawa Centrum
    This was a nice hotel except for the poor service in the restaurants and room service at night. The restaurant service was slow and inattentive. This is not part of the Polish culture as the service in restaurants outside the hotel was great. The tea and soup delivered by room service was barely luke warm. There was no answer from room service when it was called for replacement. When we gave up on calling room service, there was also no answer from either the front desk or the hotel operator for 35-40 minutes. I finally had to go down to the front desk to get in contact with a human being. Room service finally got things right on the third attempt. Other than this single issue, we liked this hotel....More

    Polonia Palace Hotel
    Beautiful, well-run hotel on Warsaw's Jerusalem (Jerozolimskie) Avenue. The hotel is located across from the iconic Palace of Culture and Science. The Central Railway Station and a fantastic indoor shopping mall are but a short distance from the Palace of Culture and Science, and thus from the hotel, as well. The room was decorated in elegant beiges and browns, and featured a good-sized wardrobe, desk area, and very comfortable bed. The bathroom, also elegant, had a heated floor. The hotel's restaurant was superb in terms of service, food and ambiance. The hotel staff were helpful with requests, even with something like a travel adaptor. My one complaint was the room location, on an inner courtyard. A wedding was held the first night and while the room was 7 stories above the ground floor, loud, exuberant, booming disco music from the reception shook my room late into the night. Avoid the inner courtyard if at all possible. Otherwise, with location, amenities, room comfort, staff professionalism, and hotel appearance and upkeep, the Polonia (Poland in Italian) Palace is a superior hotel....More
