    Hotel Santo Tomas
    My husband and I stayed at the Santo Tomas for two nights last week and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Yes, the neighborhood can be a little sketchy in the evening, but what big city neighborhood isn't? We were never confronted by anyone or had any bad experiences while staying here. The owner is wonderful, will give you some great tips on places to go to eat, people watch and some tours as well. There was some massive construction going on while we were there, so sleeping in late was definitely not an option, but we knew that when we made the reservation. The restaurant at the hotel was incredible! I highly recommend the octopus. I have never had octopus before and I have a feeling that I am now spoiled. The room was neat and tidy. Only complaint would be that the pillows were not comfortable enough and should probably be replaced. Great shower with plenty of hot water. All-in-all, it was a wonderful way to start our vacation! Thank you to everyone at the hotel that made our stay great!...More
