Playa De La Luz Hotel
This hotel had it all and became our sanctuary after long days of touring. First of all, at check in, they upgraded our reservations from a double room to a Jr. suite which included a living room, huge bathroom and two double beds in the bedroom. We needed three rooms and they situated us side by side. On one side, our windows faced the ocean, and the other side included a porch with table and chairs for my family to enjoy visiting and enjoying the courtyard with a HUGE pool and botanical gardens. WE LOVED THIS HOTEL. The rooms were clean, the staff very friendly, and resturaunts were right on the compound, with great food, I might add. The "Bar Sherry" stayed open all the time for eats and drinks. The hotel even set up different activities, if you were interested. Ex: horse riding, bicycling, etc. We were visiting family from the Rota Naval Base, and found that the commute to the base was only about 9 to 15 minutes, depending on when you traveled. I can NOT say one bad word about this hotel. I would recommend it to ANYONE that was staying in the area. If I go back to Rota....I will DEFINATELY return to the Playa De La Luz....More
