    Avalon Grand Panama
The room was extremely large, two king size beds with great mattresses. The room had a gorgeous armoire for the TV and lighted closets, a sitting area with two chairs and coffee table still left lots of room. There was a small fridge, microwave, sink and pantry shelves The corner room had a two-sided balcony overlooking the trees and flowers. Country Inn & Suites Panama Canal
This hotel is right on the canal, all ships pass within a few hundred meters. Rooms are older but comfortable. Wireless Internet. Coin-laundry. It takes a taxi to go anywhere as you are outside of the downtown area and few facilities are within walking distance, leading to it being quiet. For me, this is perfect! Pay the extra for the canal-side room, giving you a balcony to enjoy the spectacular views. I'd rather take a taxi everywhere and have the quiet balcony than be downtown any day......More
