Can Bonastre Wine Resort
This was a wonderful retreat. The property is beautiful and the service was attentive. One of my only complaints would be the lack of service at the pool. There is only a water machine and restroom. The pool is far from the main property, so they drive you there in a golf cart, which is nice, but then once you are there there's no food or drink available. Also the two restaurants offer great food, but operate under odd hours. I realize most of Spain operates under limited hours, but when there's basically nothing else around, this is limiting. It seems they must be planning to build more rooms (there are only 17 now) at which time I would expect they would keep the restaurants open and have service available at the terrace or pool bars (both of which were completely closed despite the fact that the hotel was fully booked on our stay). I probably wouldn't be so picky except that they are listed as a 5-star resort. Also the cellar visit is short and does not include a tasting, sort of odd. I would still recommend a stay here as it is only about 15-30 minutes from the various wineries in cava country, and all in all a beautiful place....More
