Cabo Azul Resort
The Hotel is Beautiful and very luxurious! The rooms were beautifully appointed, the beds comfortable and the linens soft. There was not coffee in the room for you although in our 2 and 1 bedroom villas there were coffee makers. You could buy coffee in their market but is was expensive. We suggest going to "Mega" (the grocery store) to stock up on little necessities, snacks, beer etc. for your stay. The food at the resort was priced like our hometown (So. Cal.) but the drinks were outrageous! $15 for a cadillac margarita, $11 for a mojito, $6 for a beer.
I spoke w/ a Concierge prior to our arrival and requested no time-share pressure as our group was there for only 2.5 days, he made sure this happened. Double check your appointments b/c it seemed as though there was miscommunication with the concierge and spa. Make sure you get EVERYTHING that hotel managers and concierges say in writing, b/c at the end it became our word against theirs in regards to certain complimentary "gifts" they said they'd give us.
If you want to go into the small town nearby, take a taxi for $5, the walk is NOT pretty! If you go to Cabo San Lucas, again, make sure everything is clear re: your price for shuttles. We all pre-paid, then upon return (at 2am) they asked us for more money, what do you do at that point?... we had to argue then pay up so we could get back... Not pleasant.
Javier's restaurant was incredible, the service was outstanding and the food was beyond our expectations. We had our large party dinner there and it was managed very well and without any disputing. I did ask that my guests just visit the bar for their beverages during dinner, that kept the bill clean...
We would return to this hotel in the future, probably staying on the property to enjoy all it has to offer, rather than venturing off. We will also get all "promises" in writing....More
