Central Railway Hotel
The people who run Central Railway Hotel in Sydney were certainly nice, but the hotel itself is quite far out of the City, and the neighborhood around it was somewhat rundown. Yes, it was a good price, which was why we selected it, but we had a lot of luggage (we were leaving on a cruise two days later) and the "hotel" doesn't have an elevator. We had to lug all the luggage up two flights of stairs. I also feel the name is misleading. It's really like a three-story motel....More

Hotel staff was great. Lacks amenities. Five or so blocks from Central Railway Station is a good thing if you are not dragging bags. No elevator, pool, ice machine, cups in rooms, etc. Had to talk over a hum in the room phone when trying to make calls. Basic place to stay with a small microwave and refrigerator. A few bars near train station. Nothing really in the immediate area. Just need a place to crash, nothing fancy? This is the place....More
