Beautiful hotel, really great/fun pool and loved the hotel bar which is on the second floor overlooking the pool and ocean. Hotel fitness center is free and is very nice too. Prices at hotel for drinks/food are a little expensive once the service charge and tax is added on but nothing more than is typical for such a nice resort. You just need to factor in the service charge (10 %) when you tip. The only cons ... not great beach (there are white sandy beaches within short driving distance though), no hot tub and the tour center representatives could have been a little more helpful. They only contract with one company so you don't hear about all the other company's that have similar and sometimes better trips available (i.e., zip-liner, snorkeling trip, etc.)....More

Punta Leona
The resort was very nice but not plush by any means. The rooms were very basic and could use some upgrades but were entirely functional. The best beach had the most wonderful sunset but the snack bar (that served alcohol) closed in the late afternoon so we could not enjoy the setting with a meal or food. While on the subject of food there were only two options, basic snack food or buffet. The buffet was fine but not always what one wants - especially in the evening. The only bar did not have table service. There is no service around the pool. The resort has the required amenities but did not quite step up to the plate for the service....More
