    When staying in Canberra, whether for business or pleasure, you could not ask for a better place to stay. Everything is close by. The city bus terminal is one block. From there you can venture out to see any part of the Capital Territory. Huge shopping complex three blocks away.     Crowne Plaza Canberra
    I'll be brief. Australia is famous for friendly people, but service levels seem to suffer in that country greatly. I was saddened by the apethy and often abrasiveness of almost all whom I came in contact who had a customer facing role. The Crowne Plaza Canberra seems to be immune. Wonderfully situated at the heart of Canberra; a 2 minute walk from major shopping and dining; and only a few minutes drive from major sightseeing destinations. The service was professional and friendly -- even warm. Up to the standards I would expect from an international brand. There's no doubt this will be my home base on every future visit to Canberra....More

    Pavilion on Northbourne
    This is an older hotel that needs updating. The big draw is the botanical gardens within the hotel. This is very pretty, but doesn't make up for the need to update the hotel which seems stuck in the 80's. The staff was pleasant, the room was OK and the location was OK because we only stayed overnight. I have to feel there are better options in Canberra....More
