Arts Hotel (formerly Sullivans Hotel Sydney)
This hotel is located on Oxford Street, Paddington District. The reception is 24 hours, so you have no curfew, an the Front Desk is friendly and efficient.
This hotel has 4 bikes to rent out! It was GREAT! We biked down to the Bondi Junction, biked to Hyde Park, biked to a great cafe for breakfast - wonderful alternative to a long walk or an expensive taxi. There are bus stops right in front of the hotel which can take you all the way to Bondi beach or all the way to the Circular Quay, right by the Opera House and within range of almost every attraction.
They have a breakfast buffet, but 13 pp seems a little much for what's offered.
The only real thing that bothered me about this hotel is its poor security. They ask you to leave your key at reception when you go out, no problem, but when you return to ask for the key they don't ask for any ID, they just give it to you by the number you request. Yikes!...More

Arts Hotel (formerly Sullivans Hotel Sydney)
Super staff, clean hotel, rooms were large, lovely outside garden area. Free internet and wireless, not far from stops of the red and blue buses. Not in the downtown area but on a busy street with plenty of shops and places to eat closeby. This hotel had all we needed for a quick 2 night stay....More

The Kirketon Hotel
The location was great. The room was a good size for 1 person. If you are traveling with 2 or more people I would recommend upgrading to the larger room. The staff was great and very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. The bed felt like a futon and could have used improvement but overall a great place to stay if you are in Sydney more for the sights then relaxing in the Hotel all day....More
